Gaius was so good on this show. When Smash gets into Texas A&M always makes me cry

Smash is possibly my favourite FNL character almost solely because of Gaius' performance. He is phenomenal.

Honestly Liz Mikel who played his mom was phenomel.

One of my favorite episodes you guys have done. Seeing the three of you together and Gaius's megawatt smile gave me such a great start to my day!

First time listening to an interview with Gaius. And wow he is sooo DIFFERENT from his character Smash, the man is truly talented.

I remember Buddy watching a TV in a later FNL season and saying “Look at Smash playing for A&M”. Listening to you guys it sounds like you miss those halcyon days of doing the show together. Like the old saying “No one told us at the time but life wouldn’t get any better”. I met friends from college I graduated with over 35 years ago and for a few hours we were drinking beer and young again. Loved seeing this reunion. The electricity was palpable. Great show. Texas Forever! 🏈

I remember seeing Gaius on greys anatomy after seeing him on fnl. I always wanted his character to refer to him self as smash 😂

Loved this episode! Smash was my favourite FNL character and I just loved his character arc. Can’t believe how different Gaius is from Smash - even the voice! Incredible actor.

What a great guest! Gaius has such an incredible charisma and Scott guided the podcast expertly. Could really feel the bond between you all.

We need 2-3 hours with the cast! The last episodes with Coach and Smash fighting thru the knee injury/recovery together and getting the scholarship were possibly my favorite on the entire show. Well done, Gaius!!

Smash has the most success of all his teammates on Friday Night Lights as being senior at Texas A&M, being a senior starting RB as the series ended. You know his mom would make him get his degree before going pro.

The show took a hit when they lost Jason riggins smash Tyra and Matt I never watched after they split East Dillion into 2 schools it broke me
