je l'ai vu dans le rôle d'Arnold dans Guillaume Tell à l'opéra de Lyon l'année dernière. Il a un aigu très facile et il incarne vraiment le personnage, c'était fabuleux ! pour moi le meilleur Arnold

Depuis que le prodigieux Chris Merritt (qui bissait régulièrement cet air !) a cessé de chanter, il est rassurant de constater que d'autres chanteurs, tel ce spectaculaire John Osborn ( ou encore Michael Spyres) ont pris le relai.
Un signor cantante,musicista e professionista...e basta con Pavarotti....godetevi quello che c'è! Howard borsone!

John! Very well done! Wasn't this one of the arias you sang when you won the Met auditions? I don't want to say my name online, but I was a couple of years behind you? So you can piece it together, you and Ted were double cast as Tamino, and I was double cast with Cara as Pamina in Flute. It is so nice to hear you again! My life went a completely different direction. To make a long story short, I realized that what I REALLY wanted was the feeling that I am making my little corner of the universe a better place. I have been a CNA for several years. I still love music, so I am practicing. Lol! Sometimes I do my best practicing, as I am driving in between people! I do home healthcare, and some of my regulars live out of town. ...It was great to hear you again! Take care, and God bless! Susan

Una voz adecuada para el papel. Pero su voz no es especialmente bonita y los adornos q hace no .e gustan. Están fuera de estilo

@@Psyque-nl4xn Pues soy más fans de Kraus, Florez actualmente ha decaído mucho por querer cantar repertorio inadecuado de Lirico ligero, pero en años atrás era mejor q Osborn, que por cierto lo escuché en vivo en Sevilla en la Fille du Regiment, me pareció correcto pero está por debajo actualmente de Camarena. Esos trinos que haces en plan tiroles están totalmente fuera de estilo.

Strained? Are you a tenor?????? Every note comes with ease. He has an interesting timbre and maybe a little tongue and jaw tension but most do.... and if 9 C's aren't enough he adds two flawless D's.... if you know anything about classification he's probably on the verge of a spinto tenor but maybe not. His performance is next to flawless. Sad that the crazy organist can't see or hear that. Maybe take the organ off tutti some and you'd hear it 🙃😈

He sounds like a unique type of tenor, a classification that is not accepted anymore. Demi-caractère or perhaps a haute-contre. Not necessarily a spinto, but a leggiero with beef so to speak. Being one of these, you get mistyped a lot because of the weight in the voice, especially the lower register yet with an extremely high extended upper register. This tenor is AMAZING!

John Osborn is a fine singer but listen to early Pavarotti sing this if you want to hear true greatness.

I agree. He's not pleasant to listen to, especially not when he sings forte, no matter how impressed some people may be with his high notes.
