Gaerte Engines Sprint Car on Chassis Dyno
This is my trip to the chassis dyno at Gaerte Engines in Rochester, IN. This is an ASCS 360 cu. in. Sprint Car. It is amazing how much more you can do on a chasis dyno for acceleration and adjusting the fuel to come off the corners harder. The chassis dyno can detect hesitation that you could never find on a standard dyno.

i felt my blood pressure rise everytime you got on it.....fucking sounds great......
Man that thing wants to lift the front end on the dyno, CoOl :-)
@Nascarfan3914 the drums of the dyno are powered by electric motors and they were spun until the engine was able to start. you can see the guy give the thumbs up once the engine started.
I can only notice it when looking at the front of the car, but at a certain point in the rev band, it almost sounds like its hitting v-tec. It sounds a hell of a lot better here rather than in a 4 banger.
sounds good real good
im 12 and in race season in australia i have 3 to 4 cars in my shed and there engiens always going but that the best engine iv heard
wow, watch the tires grow.
clasic love it top 360 410 sprintcar v8 engines exellant and one in steve s sprinter now it fasttttt
Nothing better than an open exhaust V8 on alcohol
i was waiting for the results...why no numbers?
Well, how much power did it put down?
was this a new motor being broken in? how long does the avrage sprtint car motor last?
I love sprint car Dino testing
How do you start it? Are the dyno drums powered, or is an electric starter temporarily fitted to the engine?
Lol at the slicks on the rear...I know why they're there but it still looks funny on a sprint car.
@racerguy6n i can hear other videos fine tho. i can hear it when its at low rpm then when it accelerates all i get is white noise and occasionaly a little bit of engine.
TRI-C all the way
@opanashuffle Perhaps thats why they are using a set of slicks onthe rear for the dyno pulls....there's no reason to run your racetrack tires to dyno
wowzer you guys are mad
World of outlaw or regional .what kind hp running?
