Such a random Monfils post got me panicking thought he retired or something 😦 - glad it’s just a recognition post cause he withdrew from Roland Garros after first round
He lost this match 6/0 in the third, but god I'll never forget the first two sets of his Monte-Carlo final against Nadal in 2016. He went to war with prime Nadal on clay with a level so high I was in awe for two hours and a half straight. Monstruous rallyes

@@chillmood4130 you're right. He looked very close to his best this week though beating Thiem Wawrinka and Murray. Point is this final was a blast and deserved to be in this vid IMHO

The best player to not win a master 1000 and not entering grand slam final... Monfils is very strong
