I started sometimes jumping when I hit my forehand. My teacher doesn't like it. I love it. Don't know if I should tell him I do it cause I wanna look like Monfils.

It's not just athletic. Why don't we see other talented players do this? Because they gave up on plays too easily. This player has heart and hustles all the way.

from a spectator point of view definitely Monfils and Brown are the most impressive and entertaining to watch; from their personal titles they are (wrongly imho) often considered "wasted talents"; I personally enjoy it very much when any of these two humiliate top tens as if it were child's play

I watched this video in the morning. Just came back from a tennis game in the evening and I played a couple of shots which I wouldn't have even tried if I did not watch this video and I actually won those points. Gaelforce!

How do you know he wasn't serious? He was top 10 for a long time, won titles, made millions, and loves to have fun while playing. How many titles did other "serious" players outside the big four win? His was a hard era to win a title in. Stop the unfair criticism.

@@0innerself0 I've heard Verdasco give interviews about clubbing instead of trraining while dating Ivanovic. Ivo Karlovic for a long time only spent time at the beach before tournaments with no training. Players occasionally let themselves go...but I don't hear them get criticized as much. Marcelo Rios even did worse. Back to my question though... how many grand slams did the more "serious harder-working" players in the era of the big three end up winning? In fact, how many of us average Joes really try as hard as our coworkers or neighbors? And who compares and criticizes us?

Calling Monfils disappointing or not dedicated enough just because he hasn't won a grand slam is honestly rediculus. He's a former top 10 player. That's more than can be said about most of the other 7 billion people on earth

One of the few professional players who remembers, we watch this for yes the intense competition and professionals doing their sport at high levels but also we watch for entertainment and fun. It's not a bad thing to throw in 10% showmanship 😂

I’d pay double the entry cost to see this guy at his entertaining best, win or lose. What an athlete and character !
