I love Doll$boxx so much, too! Really wish they'd have kept that project going! Actually I like Fuki much more in Doll$boxx than in Unlucky Morpheus. And bandleader/bassist/model F Chopper Koga is one of the people I look up to as a bassist! She is just all around AWESOME! Also I KNEW you'd love "I Wish I"! Only replaced it in my own bowl request cause I found out Socrates had already requested the same song. That thing easily became one of my favourite songs the minute it was released! There is actually a version of it someone uploaded that includes English subtitles. Check it out! The lyrics actually leveled up the song even more for me! It's just amazing!

The Blue haired drummer/screamer is Hana. In the GS video of I wish I she plays guitar. She also plays keys and bass.

Blue haired girl is guitarist, singer "Hanna" from Gacharic Spin, the rest of the band except "Fuki" are also from GS, Hanna reminds me of Animal from the Muppets, love the controlled chaos of I wish I and glad you got around to doing it, check out Tamashii "live", Gacharic Spin and Doll$Box are the same band, except for Fuki before Yuri and Angelina. Pink Haired Girl joined them

Gacharic Spin is the original band formed by blue haired girl (Hana) and the bassist (Koga), in 2012 or something their actual vocalist left the group just before their live tour so they asked Fuki to do vocals for them just for that live (which is the one you watched at the end) and through that they met and decided to form Doll$boxx with the members of Gacharic Spin + Fuki as singer, but still Gacharic Spin continued without an actual official main vocalists so Hana decided to be the vocalists and all the other members started doing vocals (which is why you see them all singing now). Later they recruited Angela who is the pink haired vocalist you see in Gacharic spin songs nowadays to basically be more of a front person to the crowd since even though Hana can act as the lead vocalist but she is stuck in the drummer position. Later they recruited a new drummer (Yuri) who now plays drums when Hana plays other instruments since Hana is actually a multi instrumentalist (she was playing lead guitar player in the "I wish I" song you just watched)

The original Gacharic Spin vocalist, Armmy, left the band for health reasons and later passed away. She was in her 20s.

Doll$Boxx is Gacharic Spin with Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus on vocals. Blue hair girl is Hannah, guitar player in Gacharic Spin.

Her name is Hana Gacharic Spin and Doll Box are the same band with different singers. Hana plays drums and guitar.

Socrates. Yes Way! All the GS ladies have been known to sing, but mainly Angelina (pink hair), Hana (blue), Oreo (keyboard)And of course, that is four of the GS ladies singing at the start of the Doll$boxx video. Especially funny that you called Hana's voice liquid gold in one video, and loved her growls in the second. Yes Hana can play any instrument she wants (drums in dollsboxx/GS) guitar in GS and other instruments as well as sing.

Tbf the whole Gacharic Spin/Doll$Boxx thing is pretty confusing if you're coming to it new XD Basically, Doll$Boxx is a side-project formed in 2012 between the members of Gacharic Spin as it was back then (Hana drums, Oreo keys, Koga bass, Tomo-zo guitar) and Fuki when they (Gacharic Spin) were on a brief hiatus due to the original lead singer quitting suddenly. After doing the first Doll$Boxx album, MV's and tour through late 2012/early 2013, Gacharic Spin started their main band up again and Fuki returned to her other activities. Gacharic Spin have evolved somewhat since then, Hana and Oreo started taking lead vocals but as they were at the back of the stage behind instruments they hired some dancers to hype up the audience - you can see this formation between 2013-2018. In 2018 the dancers left (one had hearing issues from too many loud concerts, the other wanted to pursue her studies), so they did a major band overhaul. Hana went out front on guitar and vocals, they hired in Angelina 1/3rd (the pink haired girl) originally for raps/hype/chants/some harmonies but they're now grooming her into a full fledged lead singer, and they hired Yuri in to take over Hana's place on drums. To add somewhat to the confusion new drummer Yuri had a leave of absence last year for maternity leave so a guy called LEVIN (from the band La'Cryma Christi) was their live drummer for most of last year. They also recorded their latest album whilst Yuri was still away so Hana recorded the drums for that album as well as her guitar and vocal parts. LEVIN does appear as the drummer in the MV for "I Wish I" which you reacted to here, a nice way for them to immortalise his excellent live work with the band into their official MV catalogue. Don't give up hope for more Doll$Boxx btw! It's an occasional side project, they did their first work in 2012/2013, then they did an EP, tour and live DVD over 2017/2018. Even in very recent interviews Hana, Koga, Tomo-zo and Oreo still describe themselves as members of both Gacharic Spin and Doll$Boxx, so it's not dead, just dormant, waiting for the opportunity to rise again! Regarding the last video you reacted to here (the live one) - it's from their 2013 live DVD and Fuki turned up to perform guest vocals for that one song (she also recorded the vocals to the studio version of it, it was a B-side off of one of their 2013 Gacharic Spin singles). You're right that something had gone wrong with the snare for that show, it's a little unfortunate and you can check out hours of footage of GS playing and that show is the only one where something went wrong with the snare (or possibly the snare mic). Regardless, I'd strongly recommend taking another listen and really digging into what's going on in that track, the vocal harmonies in the pre-chorus and chorus from Hana, Oreo and Tomo singing counter melody to Fuki's soaring vocals, whilst they're busting out a 180bpm thrash metal song, is just stunning. A+ reaction, even though you two were confused as hell through out. Ya know, I think that actually made it better. 🤣 By now figured out that Doll$boxx is simply Garcaric Spin + singer Fuki. And blue hair girl is Hana, musician extraordinaire.

Nice bowl. Idea for Some Tokayoshi Ohmura and Ad Infinitum. Tokayoshi songs: Hard Works; Wanna get a good love, live; Never Surrender, and Baby metal song - Rondo of nightmare, with Gods of Mischief intro, live at Budokan. Ad Infinitum song Unstoppable. Tuomas Halopenen of Nightwish has done the keyboards angled. Since 2000. It's actually easier on wrists, no corporal tunnel .it more comfortable angled.

ブラックスサバイブル (Black Survival) is wonderfully chaotic and I love it. But I agree with you about the snare.

Gacharic Spin has become my #1 ! and ive been listening to Japanese music now for 16 years lol ! you cant pinpoint a single reason to love this band because every member...and everything about them and the music ....its all top notch and amazing ! super energy especially live! super talented ...every one of them! and their sogs have such deep meaning ! especially the one you watched I Wish I ....very emotional song and meaning ! Gacharic Spin ...these ladies are the definition of Amazing !

Both are great. Gacharic Spin's music is very eclectic. I don't exactly love all their songs, but they do have some fantastic ones and they are also an insane live band. You might want to check out somewhat of a deepcut from Japan: Kikagaku Moyo, a pretty amazing psychedelic rock band. Started listening to them recently and they really impressed me.

The musicians in Doll$Boxx are also the musicians in Gacharic Spin, with the exception that blue-haired Hana only plays drums in D$B but plays drums and guitar in GS. 2012: Gacharic Spin needs a singer right before going on tour and Fuki fills in for some shows. They have so much fun together that after the tour they record an album together as Doll$Boxx, then Hana takes over the lead singer role for GS in addition to playing drums. 2017: Doll$Boxx reunites and records a mini album, then goes on tour in 2018. The live clips with the band dressed in black are from this tour. 2019: Hana moves to 2nd guitar when new drummer yuri joins the band. Pink-haired Angie also joins as a hype girl. 2020-2021: Angie gradually becomes a featured singer. yuri gets pregnant and goes on leave, so Hana moves back to drums during studio sessions, and a guy named Levin fills in as the support drummer for live show. The live shows from 2019 feature yuri on drums, but live clips and MVs from 2020/21 may show yuri, Hana or Levin on drums.

Songs and bands are very enjoyable to me with you. For the next Mega bowl, I recommend you Gacharic Spin "Tamashii" Live, which is crazy good with multiple singers and another multiple stuff.

At the soft-to-hard transition at the beginning of I Spin, Angelina 1/3 (Pink Hair Girl) sings “the world is beautiful (seikai wa utsukushii)”. She sings it again on the way out.

Yeah I don't understand the thing with Gacharic Spin. They are very good, good at Lovebites / Band-Maid / Nemophila levels. And I don't feel special about them because their music style is not mine (it's classic heavy metal what makes my heart resonate), but that does not mean I can't see how good they are. That's it, I don't know why they never got bigger, because in difference to Nemophila or Lovebites that are relatively new, Gacharic Spin has been around for some time. Oh and yeah, Doll$boxx is just the same girls, except for the singer (It is Fuki, from the Fuki bowl. Unlucky Morpheus among others).

I wish I is basically a song about the nastiness on social media and how destructive people have become during Covid.

Blue haired girl (Doll$boxx) is Hana, the sultry voiced one from Gold Dash (Gacharic spin) - a totally amazing guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, drummer, singer, composer, etc - she does it all

bluehaired girl(Hana) was playing blue and white guitar in Gold Dash then she got you again in I Wish with the screams everybody sings in Garcharic Spin and still has blue tips on her hair no glasses most of the time now

Like everyone has already, you just watched her. You loved her voice when they dropped the vocoder and her voice got all soft. You also heard her growl , twice, in the only gacharic spin song where she growls.

Hana is doing growls on "I wish I", "Gold Dash" and a little growl just before the solo of "BROKEN LOVER" (2019 version) 🙂

As for i wish I, some did a partial translation. Ther is a line that is something like ‘ just because I’m smiling doesn’t mean I’m smiling on the inside.’ I’m guessing that she showing the outside view at first then spits out a phrase or spell or what have you goes on to show you what going on inside while she’s calmly singing. Also later you get a full range of her emotions being revealed on her face.

I wouldn't rule out a new Doll$boxx album, they always were a side project and there were several years between the original Album and the EP, so there's still hope for a new Album or EP. As for more recommendations, my personal fave is Broken Lover live by Gacharic Spin: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q4qI0pWMdbbgoLw.html this one is pure anarchy on stage. This was recorded before Angelina joined with their two old stage performers and Hana still on drums, she only switched to guitar quite recently (about two years ago, around the time Angelina joined).

For those of you are offering suggestions in their special club. I would point out that is actually another recording or pair of recordings of black survival that has much less trash can in it. Someone created a duet of sorts with both armmy and fuki singing lead and while the leads are obviously pushed, the rest of the band is mixed much more evenly. At least that’s what I’m hearing. Someone find it and suggest they give it a listen. Thnx

Only thing missing is a Tomo-zo (guitarist) song. Her songs parody Kawaii Metal by acting as a cute idol while the rest of GS is to be heard and not seen. A fun break between other songs.

I hadn’t noticed til now. Looks like tomo busted out the ice cream cone guitar…

Over the last few years I have had to make some agonising decisions about which Japanese bands to follow. Doll$boxx aka Gacharic Spin, Marys Blood, Destrose are just a few examples of Japanese female bands that have the visual kei, thing going on and can slay their instruments, that I have had to virtually ignore due to fan boying over other bands. @@brewtalityfilmsllc4871 I am not sure if watching the entire show in one go would work that well? Maybe make two, half hour or so episodes of reacting? There can be a big difference between seeing a recording of a show and being there with the atmosphere and contact of many other people.

how did you watch gs and db next to each other and DIDNT realize Hana(blue hair) immediatly Oo HOW?? And yeah sad the peoject got dropped...bbut hey bot bands still around so only half sad no one knows what the future holds

One more thing… the last video has fuki helping gacharic spin out on a song called black survival. You cut off koga telling the audience “ fuki, guest vocalist.” And yes the recording is trash. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a good copy that has survived.

I'm with you on the trash can snare sound. Unfortunately it's quite distracting on some of their early live recordings, particularly the Delicious tour final which is two hours of insanity plus the trash can. After a while, your brain will tune it out. The track after the drum solo was Gacharic Spin with Fuki as guest vocalist. Fuki got involved with GS after their original vocalist left the band and it resulted in the formation of DOLL$BOXX to explore heavier elements of GS's music. As far as I understand it, the door is still open for future DOLL$BOXX recordings / shows, but it is difficult to get everyone together given how successful their other projects are. To help you with the last track, (ブラックサバイバル = Black Survival) here are two other versions: Studio recording with original GS vocalist Armmy - kzread.info/dash/bejne/oGthzshxpLLYcto.html (released as the b-side of the ヌーディリズム single). Studio version featuring Fuki - kzread.info/dash/bejne/g5d_2rJveLWxp6Q.html (released on the limited edition versions of the first GS 'best of' album in 2014). It is still a chaotic track, but either of those versions will give you a better feel for it. If you think GS is energetic in the forms you've seen so far, wait until you see them with two hype girls pumping the crowd up. Some of the live stuff from that era of the band is just bonkers.
