Agreed. I have always enjoyed his nuance and navigation of pure emotion, respect, anger and tradition. What he thinks often is different to his outside behaviour but he still maintains that acknowledgement.

Ah yes. The voice of "the old beard players" himself. Begining the hobby under one reminds me of this piece of lore. Of course the primaris come to peace with the firstborn in the most "Fleshtearers" way possible. Interesting contrast in battle between the brutal Seth and the mad berzerkers of the last piece. Fury without madness? Amazingly thematic piece once again Baldermort!

Gabriel Seth, my favourite 40k non HH character. So blunt, so matter of fact, and yet also so very introspective.

One of my favorite chapter masters! Just imagine the sheer willpower of this man! Having to lead a chapter cursed with the black rage and red thirst while he himself holds it back....and all in the face of almost falling to chaos, suspicion and distrust! 💪💪 Pure awesomeness!

It might be heresy, but it’s still a good decision. The Imperium would have fallen by now if not for the Primaris. That’s the thing about the Imperium. They have their reasons for declaring stuff heretical, but not all of them are good reasons.

@@WASDLeftClick it was the emperor himself that said there should be no further genetic alterations to his space marines. not to mention i doubt after 10s of thousands of years holding the line across millions of worlds a few thousand extra special super bois are really going to make a difference in the grand scheme of things. the primaris marines are just a case of GW ignoring their own canon because "bigger and better" what was touted as literal perfection apparently wasnt good enough any more. give it a few years and we'll have emperor marines where every soldier is as powerful as the god emperor himself.

@@tfan2222 well the custodes are better marines as well. they took to much time and effort to create though. space marines are a balance between the unstable thunder warriors and near perfect custodes. its a theme though, especially in things like hollywood films and now here, where everything just has to be bigger and better. take predator for example. a 7 foot tall near unstoppable killing machine. then some muppet exec or producer says, hay you know what, i think we should make bigger predators. they need to be 8 feet tall now and the wrist blades.... yeah theyre not long enough! they need to be wrist swords now. its fucking stupid and you see it everywhere. sorry i realise im ranting lol but it annoys me so much. it is possible to write good stories without everything having to be bigger and "better"

Just what i needed.

To give into your rage is too loose yourself too it to become no more than a mindless berserker, but to endure your rage to aim it to rise above it to embrace it know that is truly terrifying. Seth has found a balance instead of fighting his anger like so many of the blood do out of fear of being taken by the black rage Seth is always angry if you maintain a constant level of anger then you can’t fall to its trappings he has embraced that anger is a part of him but it will not RULE HIM!

WLR is amazing. Really got a great eye for moments. Great chap. :)

Loved the story. I really enjoy the idea of the primaris having to prove themselves to the firstborn when they show up. It's realistic and makes them less Mary sue-is and easier to empathize with. The "young bucks." Idk if you have experience, but It's actually very close to what the real military is like when new guys drop, infantry units especially can be very aloof to people that moved from a non combat role.

Another meal prepared by the master chef for us to par-take and savor every word like a thick steak with a glass of fine wine.

Girly-man does not has the best intentions for the Imperium. He doesn't even want to continue to fight for it. In his own words, the Imperium should have been left to burn in the fires Horus's ambition. Gullible-man is only doing what he was meant to do: Administrate the Imperium the best he can, until Mankind can take over the Galaxy. And he is not great at this task either. I mean, not even the plot armor of his chapter could prevent the fall of Cadia and the sundering of the Imperium, courtesy of the Cicatrix Maledictum.

Also he is literally the greatest administrator, empire builder and strategist. Honestly don't know how you think he's "bad" at it. Cadia was bound to fall, plus the Ultramarines weren't even there nor Guilliman so how the fuck is that their fault😂? They were busy defending Ultramar from the Black legion.

Not gonna lie, I had been out of the warhammer scene for years until I picked up an old 40k novel I found in storage. I started watching lore videos on KZread and came across this channel. Shortly after watching this video I ordered the Gabriel Seth model, went out and got some paints, bought the SM half of Indomitus and started a Flesh Tearers army. Their lore is that awesome.

Masterful story telling, Brother!! Loved this new video so much!!!

I love the tales that take a look at the inner workings of the Imperial Military and more intricate details that often get left out, like the command structure and what the leaders use to actually watch the battle, it's great world-building, the things you don't think about. A lot of elements like that in your stories and videos have really helped me visualize the 40k universe better.

The story is masterful, I could picture the drop pod slamming into the ground, Gabriel ripping and tearing through the Tyranids, chainsword revving viciously. I wish there were such inspiring tales of my own Chapter Master Azrael. Sadly I do not know of any. Gabriel Seth is a grim exemplar of the magnificence of Sanguinius' lineage.

I don't know what day it was when I first clicked on this vid. or how many times I've clicked on it since that first day. All I know is that after that first day; "GABRIEL SETH CHAPTER MASTER OF THE FLESH TEARERS" has been charging through the back of my mind. Now, The back of anything is no place for a Flesh Tearer let alone the chapter master so, today I slipped on over to G.W. and made a quick purchase. Let the "fun" begin!

Man, I freaking love these installments of Fun! The voice, passion and drive injected into each episode makes for a riveting performance. On a side note; I think Gabriel would have a twin reason for accepting the Primaris. 1. Hope that they might help to keep the Chapter alive. 2. If they are flawed and need to be wiped out then what better but to have them close to hand, or double handed chainsword as it were? :) Thanks again o' mighty bald one!
