Gabriel Polinsky (USA) mit dem Konzert für Kontrabass und Orchester, op. 3 fis-Moll von Sergej Koussevitzky (1874-1951). Die Sätze: Allegro - Andante - Allegro.
Er wird begleitet vom Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks unter der Leitung von Andrew Grams.
Er gewann am 8. September den 1. Preis beim Internationalen Musikwettbewerb der ARD 2023 in München.
Gabriel Polinsky (USA) with the Concerto for Double Bass and Orchestra, Op. 3 in F-sharp minor by Sergei Koussevitzky (1874-1951). The movements: Allegro - Andante - Allegro.
He will be accompanied by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andrew Grams.
He won the 1st prize at the ARD 2023 International Music Competition in Munich on September 8.

Der in Philadelphia lebende Kontrabassist Gabriel Polinsky beendete sein Studium 2022 mit dem Bachelor of Music am Curtis Institute of Music. Zu seinen Auszeichnungen gehören der erste Preis bei der SONE International Young Soloists Competition, der erste Preis bei der Alan M. Greenfield Competition und der vierte Platz bei der Irving M. Klein Competition.
Gabriel Polinsky, der u. a. von Harold Robinson und Edgar Meyer unterrichtet wurde, verfügt auch über Orchestererfahrung: Er musizierte z. B. mit dem New World Symphony Orchestra, dem Youth Music Guandong Orchestra, dem Orchester des Tanglewood Music Center und dem Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
Beim 72. Internationalen Musikwettbewerb der ARD München 2023 wurde Gabriel Polinsky mit dem 1. Preis ausgezeichnet.

    Bravo! Just incredibly gorgeous playing with the orchestra led by Maestro Grams, former conductor of the Elgin Symphony Orchestra in Elgin, Illinois USA who I had the pleasure of working with when I was a bassist with them. Gabriel, your sound reminds me of Gary Karr. Who made your instrument? You are amazing.

    Bass does not sound like shit but like a string instrument. This bass player understood all. Its crazy to see still people who are saying "its not bass" because its warm and finnest 😂
