Harriet Tubman was an African-American woman who was born as a slave, but conquered her freedom by fleeing captivity. She dedicated her life to the fight against slavery, helping slaves to flee the southern United States through escape routes in the same way as Moses freed the Jews from slavery who lived in Egypt.

This is a cover of Cyntia Erivo’s that was in the soundtrack for the movie about Harriet Tubman, who helped free many slaves in the Underground Railway. Gabriel sang this several years ago and I did not think Gabriel’s first version of Stand Up could have been surpassed, but I have just been proven wrong with this stunning performance. The choir and band added so much and Gabriel keeps upping his game! I’m “on my feet” cheering for everyone who participated in this rooftop masterpiece!
