Nice Reaction! 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼Happy to check out this new vocalist I think the song was originally in a musical in the early 1960's, but don't think it had that swing. Then 1965 Nina Simone recorded what I think is the quintessential version - amazing acapella beginning and then hard swinging big band - with her piano and strings and rebelious, joyous vocals. Spoke to the civil rights protests of the time and striving for freedom and equality. Please do yourself a favor and listen to Nina Simone's version. - funny that you roasted yourself about it being from the 60’s! 🙂🙃🙂
