I fell in love with this piece as a teenager. Accompanied a flutist on piano, played it on recorder and again on cello accompanied by piano. I'll have to resurrect it as part of my repertoire. Excellent rendition here, Yuri. I would take it a bit slower.

My compliments on this video. The EQ is a bit too midrangey, but it does allow for an excellent balance between the piano and the cello - in many performances, the piano is drowned out, of the plucking of the cello is lost in the mix. Plus, the camera position is excellent to SEE your performance - it is a wonderful teaching tool to people want to perform this themselves. Bravo good sir.

I didn't know that Faure indicated con sordino at 2:50 but it really makes the piece somewhat different, I really enjoyed your playing, thanks for sharing

DityaSangGita yes, usually cellists are too lasy to put the sourdine. But Faure wrote a colours and I think it is very important to use different colours of the cello’ sound.
