It's absolutely incredible that they managed to find her body. This is one of the best examples of how the media can help a search. Had there not been this enormous amount of attention on the case there's no way the couple who saw & recorded Gabby & Brian's van would've been prompted to look back over their dashcam footage. Even the chances of them just having a dashcam are miniscule, and then for them to keep it as long as they did without deleting it or recording over it as most dashcams do is just incredible, if I were a religious person I'd been inclined to think of it as a small miracle.

@@sstacyss I wouldn't expect her to show abuse but her youtube channel is supposed to be about her life and travels but clearly is just for the camera and not authentically her life or representative of reality at all. I'm not saying she's a bad person or anything, she certainly didn't deserve to die, but we should talk openly about this. People see these videos and think this is reality and wonder why their own lives aren't sunshine and rainbows all the time when that's not how people actually live. I've seen plenty of other bloggers who share their highs and lows (not abuse...) and are much more relatable.

The police totally overlooked the fact that gabby told the officers that Brian grabbed her face, locked her out of the van, he took her phone, he would not give her the keys to her van....her demeanor was not of a perpetrator, she was clearly distraught etc and the marks on Brian's face could have been out of self defense....maybe the truth was she was defending herself from him and was worried he would leave her behind. Also the witness who saw Brian slapping Gabby and then reporting it to police. where did Brian and his parents go for three days? Has anyone looked into this yet?? where they went is where he could really be!!! Just an observation, they do not seem overly concerned for their son do they??? As soon as Brian got home they contacted a lawyer!!! they had to have known something in order to do that!!! Then they left it days before contacting police to say he was missing, i do not believe he is missing, i believe they gave him a head start before telling authorities. They should also be held accountable for their actions or none actions in this case. No amount of disagreements between two people should lead to murder, he could have just simply removed himself from the situation, it sounds to me that he was a controlling, jealous person and this got the better of him. Then there is the use of him using someones credit card, maybe Gabby's ??? I know it is not confirmed yet but i think we all know in our hearts who took her life, why else would he run ???? I am a mother of 4 grown children, i have two girls and two boys, if i was in this situation i would be devastated, but i would stand up for what is right, i would cooperate with authorities completely, even if that meant handing my sons or daughters over to authorities, this may sound unloving, when in fact i would do it because i loved them, as i would not want them to hurt or harm themselves. If i knew my son was innocent in something like this, I would be appealing to the media and public for help in finding him, which is something Brian's parents have not done...why?? Brian's parents need to do the right thing, if they know more, they should tell the authorities the truth ................is that not the right thing to do if you have an ounce of compassion or love for both Gabby and Brian ????? and if it was purely an accident, Brian should come forward. why so much secrecy and non response from the parents on his behalf, he could have just handed himself in, scared or not. Running has only made things much worse in either case. RIP Gabby and may justice be soon.

Anyone who has ever experience abuse by a psychopath immediately recognized Brian was an abusive psychopath in that video. Gabby was traumatized and terrified of him. I hated that they abandoned her on the side of the road (the very thing she was threatened with by psycho brian), expecting her to drive a vehicle she’d never handled after that traumatic episode. The last commentator on here was the first person I’ve heard clearly state the obvious: cops didn’t adequately address the original complaint that SHE was the one slapped. Instead, they focused on the superficial scratches, never considering they could have come about in self defense. Cops need to learn how to look beyond the surface and learn how to identify signs of abuse beyond the physical. And, more importantly, they need training on how to identify psychopathic behaviour, which brian clearly exhibited. Instead, they buddied up with the psycho and had a bonding party over their “unstable women.” That made me ill. Rest easy, Gabby.

I also think the cop’s personal bias (having had situations with his own wife) made him identify and sympathize with Brian way too much. He was quick to believe Brian’s story and quick to label him the victim. There was little to no investigating of the situation. Brian easily manipulated them by laughing, and chatting them up like bros and they immediately began to focus on him as the victim.

In Gabby’s case it needs to be understood that the amount of media footage available that Gabby took herself from her travel adventures provided captivating imagery and detail. Before her disappearance she already had a viewing audience who were then engaged “emotionally” when Gabby went missing. That fact alone is the reason why her case became high profile, which then helped the police find her. Thus the power of social media today.

I know your gender has a in-group preference, but luckily, at least for another few years, the country will still go by the rule of law, she was the aggressor, she was hitting him, she was at fault. And it was not her RV, it was his. Furthermore, that's just his stress response, what did you want him to do, cry? in a society that would immediately call him weak for showing such response. He was kind enough to give her the RV so she would be mobile, instead of her being stranded without a car, as he was by giving her the RV. Pretty much assuring her it's ok to leave the relationship and go home if she's scared.

I agree, but that’s the system, they release what they want to release!!? And incriminate who they want to incriminate, true!!?? I think, no wonder he took off, it would be way too easy to blame him for it, without talking about the fact that the chance video woman said there was a number of other people who were camping in the same place they caught the van footage and they didn’t stay there because they were not comfortable in the area themselves???! And what about the woman who picked him up hichhicking and gave him a ride back to the van???!? And how she would take off on him when flipping out, maybe that’s why he had to hichhick?? Maybe she was murdered while he was trying to get back to the van?? Then found her and panicked and ran, maybe he was afraid for his life as well?? There’s just to many things that COULD have happened to be able to pin it down to Brian automatically??!! That’s what I think!! And look at the Medea EVERYONE ELSE IS pointing towards Brain being the murderer automatically and that is my EXACT POINT IN THE SITUATION, people aren’t looking at the entire situation and things that have been put out there, they just want to convict Brian leaving out so many things not being considered at all, that SHOULD BE looked at ASAP

I'm thinking this guy has been trying to control Gabby for a long time. Her girlfriend tells how he "always" puts her down and tells her she can't do anything. Why is this? It is to maintain control over her. And she has been living with him with his parents, so she has probably been outnumbered in their differences many times and now for the last time in her death she was outnumbered as it seems the parents is totally on his side about all this and most likely has helped him to gain some time to do whatever he is doing right now, escaping the situation. Even in the video the police took she mentioned how she was trying to set up a website of her own and how he was telling her he did not think she could do that. Why? Because she might just become successful and be able to escape HIM and his control over her. She is much more personable, much more photogenic and if she is on You Tube with her own vlog, then she has a great opportunity to make money that could totally take her away from this guy, not only that, she could meet someone else as well. So the last argument we viewed between them and shortly before her death was all about "him not wanting her independence from him" in anything, so perhaps out of desperation here, he says, okay if you think you are going to escape me, I will make sure nobody else ever has you. One of her girlfriends also stated he had a hard time being separated from her, not wanting her to do anything with her friends that did not include him.

Dirty Laundrie said they were on their way to fill up their water tank coz they’d run out. She wasn’t producing many tears as she cried and she drank those two big bottles of water in the police car. Who knows how long she had been without water, poor thing. It was so sad that she was going to accept a domestic violence charge without mentioning what the witness had seen - that he was slapping and hitting her. She must have been scared of him. He also said to the police “i hope she doesn’t have too many complaints about ME”. Justice for Gabby

He only needs to make ONE mistake -and he’s finished. His arrogance will be growing , the longer he’s not found-if he’s alive still that is-. Arrogance can lead ppl to get slack with covering their tracks(as it were). The FBI have infrared cameras, provided they have intel saying where he is-it’s just a matter of time. As for his parents? I hope they see the young woman’s face that lived in their home for over a year-some reports say two years-every time they close their eyes. Where is the sympathy for her parents? The “ANYTHING” for Gabbys family? To me, that’s unconscionable that they can treat another family that they know(their son was going to marry their daughter)? Even if Brian spun them a story, there’s no reason they couldn’t have at least said how sorry they are for her death? Send them an email, a note? Even through a lawyer? that doesn’t necessarily throw their son under a bus, just expresses sympathy to another family in pain. If it were REVERSED? How would they want Gabby’s family to treat them? The very small amount that we have seen of Gabby’s parents/step parents, ITS JUST MY OPINION-without having met these people, that they wouldn’t have treated the Laundries the way they have been treated, IF Gabby had (allegedly) murdered Brian, and she turned up at home etc…

Stabbing someone to death, how deep is the stab wound, were you trying to get away or just make them stop? After you did that initially, anything else is premeditated. I grew up in south Florida very near this area. You don't just go hiking here without staying on well worn paths because the undergrowth is so dense and full of vines tangled in everything that it would take a very long time to get through it. Plus it is largely swamp filled with snakes, alligators and other nasty things and you would have to go around - not through them! He wasn't SEEN leaving on foot - his parents certainly knew where to go pick up his car! They absolutely know when he left and what his destination was! I bet if their bank records are checked they will find that the parents financed his escape! He is not going to be found in this preserve! If he went there at all it was to get over to I-75 and have someone pick him up and drive him out of the state. He's heading to a border to try and get to another country where he can blend in and disappear so that he never has to face a murder trial. This is not a big city! The Laundries are going to have to move because the neighbors and others in that area will not forget what they have done! They won't be able to go to the grocery store or out to a restaurant without being stared at and videoed by others. Why didn't the North Port police have him under surveillance? Because they didn't even think about it! These officers are not trained in dealing with anything like this. They concentrate on DUI's, drug busts, speeding tickets and traffic violations! And this wouldn't be the first time that a huge blunder was committed! Mark my words - he won't be found in that swamp or even in Florida!

It's just a way to have most of the focus and manpower sent there. It's true that they're also doing their best to look nationally, but the U.S. landmass is unreasonably large and even with our current technology, I just don't know if it's possible to find him at this point. But if there's one thing that could lead to his capture, it will be how young he is. I was pretty stupid at that age and I imagine 23-year-old men are even stupider so he's bound to slip up and make a mistake at some point.

And yes, I understand they were trying to solve what seemed to be a small altercation without arresting young adults on a cross country road trip. But if you watch the police body cam footage, Gabby was the one the police said was at fault in this specific situation and they basically coached her on what to say so that they didn’t have to arrest her, but that arrest could have potentially saved her life…so while I’m not saying it’s the officers fault, I am saying I think this needs to be looked into deeper at some point because as we can see, it can lead to a much different situation.
