Yes. While 한테서 always means "from (person)", the meaning of 한테 can be "to" or "from" depending on the meaning of the following verb.

안녕 하세요 선생님. Right now I sow the video. I understood every things but when I will say with honorable any one like you said, 께 such as, 저는 선생님께 선물을 주였어요. That means I gave prize to the teacher. But if i get from honorable any one then can i say like this, 저는 선생님 한테서 선물을 받았어요. That means I had a prize from teacher. Is it right sir?

I'm glad that the word 'to' is also shorter than the word 'from'. Thanks for explaining. I will now remember '한테' for the shorter 'to' against the 'from' word. I think the reason why you have explained this well is that you speak the 'English' language. I hope I could be an effective English teacher here in Korea. I understand now, why students here have difficulty speaking English - it's because this teacher does not know how to explain the grammar in the Korean language.
