Yes, technically brilliant, but I found his playing soulless and uninspiring and show-off-ish (I was at the show). He came across as more of a bedroom shredder and he looked a little lost and uncomfortable on that stage. But it must have been sure intimidating playing next to such legends.

Considero Steve Vai un Dio. Esplorazione delle possibilità dello strumento. Composizioni meravigliose, così come la loro riproduzione dal vivo. Ma quando si tratta di improvvisare, Joe Satriani è ad un altro livello. Brividi ogni volta.

Eric completely stands alone here in soloing to the music. Vai goes into his own dimension, as he often does. The singer is the best musician in the band here. It sounds a little like Glenn Hughes and would be a great vocalist for Lynch Mob with George.

Someday I want to know what the real story is with Nita. She wasn't even the best guitarist in the Maidens, and since then there's been numerous female shredders who are also photogenic emerging on the scene, but somehow Nita is the only one that gets promoted to that next level.

If skill was the only consideration, he should be like the most well known guitar player out there Theres defo more to it... i think nita has the right combo of looks, attitude, skill, and work ethic that makes her super valuable to musicians... theres always going to be some luck and networking (her agent might be one helluva sales person) thats gonna go into it too... but i think she deserves the lime light So does roy marchbank and abigail zachko and countless others but there ya go

@gypsyfromthesatelliteoflov5425

They all copied something from someone i think... eric was hugely influenced by players like chet atkins which you see in his finger picking... All of them have some guitar giants dna in them... heck almost everyone developed their vibrato from claptons and bb... and thats cool! Copying from greats and turning it into your own thing is what its all about
@dogman5680

He copied the first half of Jimi’s solo note for note…out of respect of course.
Great performances, ...but would've been nice to dispel the notion that the vocals were pre-recorded - why no footage of the singer/keyboardist (I had to read the channel notes)
@kenchiarito2112
2 ай бұрын
The iPhone can only do so much and the vocals were not prerecorded at all. The vocalist was so far extreme stage left(Joe even joked about it a few times), that it would’ve made the all guitarists too small for the shot and barely able to see. Zooming out to view the whole stage was not doable to ME and I wanted to focus on the group of guitarists that ALL came from stage right. It was my choice I had to make on the spot. I don’t edit not have software to do so nor do I plan too. This video is for fans and I’m not a professional nor claim to be one. Sorry you’re so unhappy.
@dboulos7

@@kenchiarito2112 No, I'm not unhappy at all. You did a great job at keeping focus on the center of attention - each guitarist was visible the whole time. Everything that you explained had crossed my mind, so I'm not surprised that a panoramic view was a logistical impossibility. Apologies for coming off sounding bitter - I was actually attempting to be slightly humorous. Thank you for shooting an awesome performance and sharing it with others.
Who's singing?
Eric Johnson
The Important thing we need to focus on is the fact that John Mellencamp was convinced that Kenny Arnoff needed John and had no career without him. Only one of many things John has been wrong on in his life! But when you screw up big time and fire the best and most sought after drummer you will ever have, you shouldn't sit around and wonder why your albums just aren't selling like they used to.

I prefer to think of it as a conversation...theyre all talking about one topic (a foxy lady perhaps), and describing it (her?) In their own words. Its like when your buddies get together and talk about how great this hero was and you all say stories about him... i think thats what i hear, them honoring jimi in their own ways, telling us their stories of him
