OMG I wish Star Hopper would glow in the dark 😝 there is actually a set of G1 ponies which have glow in the dark confetti in the body. But they are pretty popular and expensive and (you can probably guess it) not released in Germany~ haha I can't wait for my sabbatical to find time to restore the ponies🤩🤩🤩

Danke dir 😉 Ich fühle mich immer etwas schlecht, wenn ich für etwas einen hohen "Sammlerpreis" bezahle, weil ich damit die Preise ja bestätige und weiter in die Höhe treibe. Aber ich denke weiterhin, dass 80€ noch recht "günstig" für das Pony ist. Und es war ja schon krass genug, dass sie sie MIR dann wirklich verkauft hat, obwohl ich nicht der einzige Interessent war. Da konnte ich nicht mehr "nein" sagen!!! Jaaa, wie könnte ich mich da nicht freuen😆💕💕💕

All in all a very good haul! But meadow sweet omg what a beautiful pony and yes for that condition a very good price!! I'm happy for you!! The fact that its a European issue I know you did the right thing buying it!! As always a fun and informative video!!! Happy toy hunting!!!

Then they offered me $3 off, making it only $10 even after shipping. I pay that for the new remake ponies, so I was happy with it. I also realized it was from 1987 (the year I was born), so it seemed meant to be. 🤣 It’s Banana Surprise and she seemed in really good condition! Still very pink. =) Her hair is a bit frizzy, but it made me excited to have the chance to try my hand at fixing it. Honestly kind of nervous haha but you have videos on how to do it, right? So I will follow along with your instructions. 😊💗💕

Banana Surprise is such a cutie. Does she still smell sweet? Ponies from the Sundae Best Ponies were scented. But just a couple of them still have their sweet scent. Yes, I think that is a totally fair and good online price for a pony!!! Yes, I have a playlist with toy restoration videos. I can't exactly tell in which I do what by heart right now. But I do hair restoration on ponies quite often in there. Here a quick summary: 1.wash the hair with conditioner and comb it though while letting the conditioner in it. Like this you can smoothly brush trough it. 2. if that was not enough to make the hair soft again, take a flat iron and put it on lowest temperature. When you don't have one with temperature setting, be extra careful and plug it out all the time, when it gets hot and plug it in again when it gets too cold. But I would not recommend this (although I did it in the videos since I did not have a flat iron with temperature setting at that point) - Well, low temperature and pony hair still wet, go though it strand, by strand. Take small strands of hair and go though it with the flat iron and use a small comb to go though it after you ironed it. You can repeat that and always condition the hair inbetween and comb through. You can even leave some conditioner in or use some lotion on the hair while using the flat iron, strand by strand. - Sounds complicated but it is just a mess to describe in words. 3. When it is smooth again, wrap the tail around one behind leg and secure it with tissue or a hairclip and wrap the maine around the neck and secure it with tissue and a hair tie. Let it dry for a day. (leg-wrap and neck-wrap - that are the easiest ways to style the hair) Tadaaa~

I got it from a German ebay seller who specialises in shelf risers, stand-up displays, standees made of clear plastic. So I guess you can find something similar on amazon or wherever also in the US.

i have like half of the old mlp's there all in a good condition and idk why i chose to sell all of them -

I saw a Starhopper like that and was thinking those resin unicorn horns on Etsy that are perfect for G1 ponies would fit...but how to match the color? They make them in sparkle colors much like the ponies...but only silver would match. Isn't mail order Starhopper amazing? That's a nice bait haul!

For the early ponies it is more normal to have a quite squishy body rather than one that is rock hard. Some ponies turn rock hard when the plasticizer of the vinyl comes out or transforms (very common with the Twinkle Eyed ponies). But some pony bodies are especially squishy. I have a Starshine that has a really "thin" and squishy body. I guess some might have been produced with a little squishier plastic. But I have not more info on this.

From G3 on the term cutie mark was established. (So for G3, G4 and G5 I mainly use the word cutie mark) Generations prior to that didn't have a term for it. So I prefer to use the word "symbol" especially for vintage ponies. Btw. I know!!! I have watched MLP FIM at least 5 times, all 9 seasons 😜

Is this a joke? Nachtlicht (translates to Night Light) is a German exclusive Rainbow Pony from the first generation. It is extremely popular, extremely expensive and as it was just available in Germany in the mid 80s. Just go over on My little Wiki. You will find info on it. It is very sought after. Did you find it at the flea market or thrifting? Otherwise I doubt that you got it for 14 € online when it was tagged under "Night Light". German name is "Nachtlicht" as I wrote.

At the bottom of the box in which he was, she wrote: "This pony was given to me as a child, and I was insanely happy, now I want him to give you happiness, take care of him" I am writing this through a translator, I hope he translates my thoughts correctly.
