This band is really something else, love the traditional elements - and Gunnhilds voice is out of this world! Love the message about the fight agains oppression and the fight for freedom. The primal scream is for all of us, a big wake-up call!

Loved this interview with William. I think this group is unique. Looking forward to see Gåte at stage in Malmö. Gunnhild's voice is just incredible.

I love how Magnus always comes to the rescue and help Gunhild (who isnt as steady in English like him) and explains everything so thoroughly with a smile on his face,…and Gunhild is so charming. I feel a bit bad for the rest of the band who is always in the background but I guess they are okay with it. I really hope they can use the LED background in Malmö to make their performance more magical and skip the overlays with the photos and instead incorporate it with the LED, but knowing NRK and how they always say they want to keep it as it was in MGP and make the song the focus (as their standard excuse) doesnt make my hopes very high.

Icelandic is actually very close to the old Norwegian language so we probably understand the lyrics better than them which is so cool I love them and this song - hope they win the whole thing 🎉❤

They are all fluent in English. Gunnhild and Magnus are the only original members left of the original Gåte lineup. They've been a part of the band since they were teenagers. The others have joined in the later years, some of them are fairly new band members. Gunnhild and Magnus, given the huge success in Norway over the years, are also more used to being in the spotlight/ have more media training, so I'm guessing that's why.

Most bands just have a certain few people who are the ones who do the talking. Most of the time the vocalist is kind of the face of the band
