Great video, made for a good Saturday morning view, enjoyed it. On the GravityMaster stopwatch, I have the GWRB100, same stopwatch, and I agree it's useless for short timings, like cooking pasta or a run, but it's exceptional at long events, as in 'How long have I been on this plane now?' five hours, 20 minutes or so, Then it comes into it's own.. an presents as it's own running clock. just my 2 cents (pence?) 🙂. Thank again! 😁⌚

Great video, thanks mate. I think you will find that on the GPW-2000 you can start the stopwatch without waiting for the 6 o'clock dial to finish moving. The GPW-2000 is also, I believe, one of the only G-Shocks with 2 PCBs. The GPW is indeed solar powered. The indicator at the 9 o'clock is showing 'M' or medium charge on your watch.

I'm certainly no videographer either but it's definitely enjoyable discovering new techniques. For me it's a hobby which I did initially enjoy doing until more of the big channels including the likes of watchfinder&co used my material without accreditation, they would never have known about these facts unless they knew what they were specifically looking for and willing to pay to get access to the historical files. So that kind of ruins the fun of it a bit for me, especially when their videos get a ton of views and people commenting on how great those parts of their videos are... Still in two minds.

Hey buddy, Well this could be a first with these two darlings, and glad it was you covering it ;) I've not had much experience with the GWG, so can only go by reviews like yours, but does certainly have a huge following and support. With regards to the stopwatch, the Gravitymaster is more for rough readings in my opinion, and you can in fact start the stopwatch before the sub-dial settles down just to mention, but as it uses a mini analog dial with that tiny PM/AM sub-dial, it's actually very handy to glance to get a rough idea how long you've been timing it for, but on short timings, the GWG for sure. It's without doubt my perfect travelling watch, as it adjusts the time with the Bluetooth, also it has those time/position points which is very useful if you want to note a place quickly while traveling. But you are right, it certainly has a learning curve, and that's on a few levels, as the calibrational side is very involving, and learning it all by heart takes time. To me it's like the G-Shock of the MR-G but in more resin than steel, and inside it's full with some amazing tech, that's still leaps into the future really. I wished it had Hand Sweep, that'll be handy when setting the sub-dial, as it's not so easy to see when those hands decide to obscure it, also the lack of beeps for the stopwatch and timer is missing, but not a big deal, as the only time I use these, is when I want to time longer durations, so it's not really about pin point accuracy so much. Isn't the GWG using a carbon second hand? It's also because the motor can spin the hand faster because of the lightweight fibre. The LAT and LONG is a curious one, as it's not really helpful unless you're traveling vast distances in the air, but feel it's more gimmick than practical, but at least you can see if you're in the northern or southern hemisphere B-) Btw, the atomic antennas are working all the time, it's just at night that traffic is less frequent, so those watches with MB6 are set to start searching after midnight trying a few times during the night, but you can force manually during the day to get a signal, but not with the Gravitymaster, there isn't an option to manually search for the MB6. Really nice to see these two compared, and they are very different indeed... you are right about that Gravitymaster backlight, I wouldn't be surprised if it's meant to also act as a backlight? Just looking at your subs, and WOW, you're getting closer to 1k.... will keep check on that, and I will push on my community page again to really get you there... could be this month, but certainly next month... would really make me happy to see you get there, you deserve it my friend, and we must've been friends for at least 3yrs now, so long over due! Hello good sir, and thanks for the wealth of information. Yes somebody else mentioned you can start the stopwatch before it zeros, the tech in this thing is incrdible. With regards the carbon second hand in the GWG it could well be although I couldn't find reference to it. The GWG-1000 is one you really must get in your hands and have a play with. There is a relative simplicity to it but in a way that's whatakes it so good in my book. Thank you for the support and kind words man, the community is very cool on here. Cheers!

The bezel would appear to be more scratch resistant that that of the GWG-1000 based on personal experience. Yes I've looked at this model a few times, such a cool looking watch. It kind of reminds me of the maritime version of the GWG-1000 for some reason. Interesting comment about the paint, I've never heard of that. Around the bezel I presume...

When I bought the GWG-1000 (resulted from watching too many GWG-1000 reviews, with yours being one of them ;)), I thought that was it - no more watch purchase for me for a long time. But somehow after that, I found the GW9400 and the GPRB1000 seem nice. And I saw this video and found the Gravitymaster to be kinda nice as well. When will this terrible pursuit end? 😣

Haha. Welcome to the slippery slope of G-Shock ownership. I know that feeling exactly. Just don't rush on anything, research it, reflect on it and then look for good deals - they are out there. I have a strict rule with myself that I will only buy one that I have very special interest in or that I know is not going to be avaliable for long. The GW-9400 is such a functional watch with so much packed into it for its cost. I can't speak on behalf of the heat rate monitor models as I haven't tried one yet. Check out the GA-2100 too brother ;)

@@stormrider1119 I've watched your top 3 G-Shock video and I can see how you highly appraised them. It's a great model but can't see myself wearing it anytime soon. I would fancy a GBD-100 or a GW-9400 more 😊

Are their only certain models of the Gravitymaster that have that orange backing on the strap? I just snagged one on chrono and I was searching high and low for one. Ended up going with the only option there was lol.. black

So I don't own the G-Shock analogue Frogman (yet) but it's definitely an interesting comparison and I believe I know what my finding would be. I'll get my hands on one and do a comparison. One notable thing is that I find analogue watches less easy to read for quick reference compared to digital which is why I love the GWG-1000 as it has the best of both worlds. Plus a compass. Watch this space... Cheers!

@@stormrider1119 I do beleive that full analog watches are more about style than function. For example the GRB100 is an excellent entry level higher end G shock .,and it has a digital display it is more useful than my frogman. I wear it sometimes, but i can't deny how much better the frogman looks on my wrist

@@ROrneli undoubtedly it's a beautiful watch, especially if you have a larger wrist as it's a big beast! I wear some G-Shocks for aesthetics and some for function. It's situation dependant for me. The analog Frog is simply cool. I actually like the Borneo Frog edition, pretty over the top but in a good way.

@@stormrider1119 I think one thing that the frogman would have over the mud master would be the blue tooth. the ability to program the different world times alarms and such from your phone is very useful. I find that feature more useful than a compass. Should i need a compass I can buy a compass wrist band lol

@@ROrneli yes I love the G-Shock Connect App. The ability to automatically set world times etc is a game changer for travelling. I have just had a few moments when I've been in a new city, not wanting to constantly take my phone out or didn't have cellular coverage and want to quickly get oriented, that compass is perfect. But agreed it had a limited use case. I think the two watches are rather different and if you want the Frog as a solid and slick timepiece you can't go wrong.

Better to buy during Navratri /durga puja, I got 5000 rupess discount in 2000 mudmaster.
