Klingt nicht nach Barockmusik. Reine Effekthascherei. Zirkusmusik. Papageno …Natürlich frappierende Technik aber nicht. Musikantisch. Habe das Konzert selbst oft - und schöner(!) - musiziert.

Otherworldly technically but the excessive tempos of the allegros make them sound, to my ear, more athletic than musical. The near constant decoration of the slow movement was irritating... much more Steger than Sammartini ... it submerged the emotion in the lovely melodic line

Ich persönlich finde die Tempi in den schnellen Sätzen einfach zu überhöht. Dadurch wird es nur noch schlampig und gehetzt. Warum? Ich habe vermehrt den Eindruck, dass sich Blockflötenvirtuosen mit ihrem Instrument langweilen. Warum lassen sie sich nichts komponieren, das ihrem Wunsch nach Tempo entspricht und missbrauchen im Grunde die alte Musik für ihre Selbstdarstellung?
