令和5年（2023年）はお大師さまがお生まれになって1250年の記念の年です。高野山では、ご誕生日の6月15日を中心として、5月14日～7月9日までの57日間、｢いのちよ輝け～大師の みこころと共に～｣のスローガンのもと宗祖弘法大師御誕生1250年記念大法会を執行いたします。お大師さまのご誕生を祝うとともに、子供の頃から聡明であったお大師さまにあやかり、現代の子供たちが元気で健やかに、賢く育つことを願う法会でもあります。
In the 5th year of Reiwa (2023), it is the commemorative year of the 1250th anniversary of the birth of Great Master. At Mount Koya, under the slogan "Let Your Life Shine Brightly - Along with the Spirit of the Great Master," the Grand Memorial Service for the 1250th Anniversary of the Birth of the Founder Great Master Kukai will be held for 57 days from May 14th to July 9th, with the central focus on the birthday of the Great Master on June 15th. This event celebrates the birth of the Great Master and also serves as a ceremony where we wish for the healthy and wise growth of children in modern times, following the example of the Great Master, who was intelligent from childhood.
