My perspective on collecting vintage MOC has drastically changed as Michael has brought an extremely valid intelligent point about age & breakdown of the rubber component. This is why I love this channel. Very insightful information and truth by Michael & Melinda. Please keep up the fantastic work Retroblasting!

Oh man. This makes me want to dig out my collection and restore them all and that would take the better part of a month to do. I noticed the extra parts you had at the end, and those look like they came from one of the extra acessoiers pack they use to sell. I add might to buying several of them.

10:45 The spare Stalker rifle also came with the Battle Platform. I see a couple of the other rifles that came with it, as well as part of the platform itself, so that's probably where that came from. Sorry for the belated input! Amazing collection

Wow! That's a fantastic find! It's rare to see a collection so complete and well cared for from childhood. GI Joe was my #1 favorite toy growing up. I still have most of it in storage, somewhere. I even have some of the boxes the vehicles came in, minus the holes cut out for the file cards. That boxart was just too nice to throw away!

heh, reminds me of when I was a kid, I got rock and roll in what 83 or 84. First day I had him I went to a friends and the O-ring broke within 5 mins of playing with him. His mom's boyfriend bunched up a bunch of rubberbands took the GI joe apart and fixed it. First time I had ever seen a GI Joe apart...well ofc after that I figured out how to do that and mix and matched my GI Joes.... god I miss the 80's.

There is a shop not far from where I live that sells second hand toys and such. There are many loose figures with small toy bins of random action figures just cluttered in them. And among them are GI JOE.But they've seen better days. Some have their paint pealing and scraped, others have loose elbow and knee joints which prevent them from being able to stand. But the biggest nitpick is the case a broken crotches.I'm not kidding, I found a Duke and Falcon figure, and the piece of plastic that is pretty much the groin have broken clean off.

Probably that HISS tank driver never left the seat and that is why the figure's symbol is perfect. It looks like the younger brother and the older brother were through G.I. Joe for many years since those figures covers the span of 1983-1986 and they were loyal enough to stay with the franchise four Christmas in a row, being Jinx probably the swan song of these kids.

Loss of sound at 9:20 ish Guys not sure if your aware or if that's my end, an important vid for a Joe collector. Cheers Fuzz.

I think I owned at least ten 1st version Storm Shadow figures. I kept buying 2 or 3 every time I saw them in stores. I was afraid they'd stop making them and if all my other ones broke I'd be without one. I probably owned the same amount of the 2nd version Snake Eyes figures too (plus one 1st version). But the 1st storm shadow was so much better then the subsequent versions and the snake eyes models were all good.

Thankfully I have few practice ones, before working on someone like 1982 Scarelet. There few I really hate and new sure what to do. Like Zartan. His figure hard to take apart...
