... I miss my Terrordrome. I often punch myself in the head until I fall asleep when the memory of selling it *complete* for $8.00 at a yard sale at 9(?). It was Complete! It was...complete...! From that experience I finally understand the U2 song “Mother’s of the Disappeared” means. Bono sold his Thundercats Fortress with built-in, Lion-Head-mounted Lazer tag and an enemy scout for friends to try to defeat you! (If you had friends. Otherwise you just point them at each other’s sensors and hit the “Das Toast” Button!) Cathartic.

Tbh you can just make a squad and 1 of them is the squad leader with the band. It looks great. I was always more of a Cobra fan than a GIJoe fan... Just love the blue since blue is also my fav color. Probably why Soundwave and Thundercracker are my favorite TF toys...

Kick Toy no. It’s analogous to flippigg Big three coins, since each one has two outcomes so in total, there are 8 outcomes.

Getting better every figure. I would love to see a repaint of crimson red for the blue. It would make a perfect crimson guard.

With him having the Cobra symbol on the hand all I can think of is them backhanding someone and saying, "You got Cobra'd!"

There is a company that makes ww2 figures but they are pricy and not very common.

Oh, no kidding, I saw more shots of the Star Wars set and I must have it.

There’s a tiny Cobra on the small strap on the back. This head is that Storm Shadow head we’ve seen in the promo art. At least I’m 93% sure it’s the same or very very similar. I think that’s why there is so much personality in the eyes. I love this dude. He is dark. A little brighter blue would help. I got one last night. Played with it for about two hours. Duke and the other Joes told him to come back when he brings at least three friends. Not really a fair fight... painting the guns or changing them out is just going to be the thing the collector will have to do. But Hasbro is giving us something very nice to mod. GI Joe is what I choose to spend on today. I’m cutting back on other lines because I just don’t want to miss out in this train right now.

Damn! Cobra trooper is awesome! A definite throw back to the 80's with some updates. Can't wait to see Alley Vipers or Vipers for that matter. ROBO!!! Err I mean COBRA!!!!

Not sure if anyone already brought this up but these figures are basically from the new G.I. joe game coming out along with their weapons.

Robo, your review solidified my want of this figure! Freakin amazing! I do hope they're plentiful upon release. Those dang scalpers!

All I see is them from that one animated movie where snake eyes just goes beast mode on the island of cobra troopers and then faces off with storm shadow

Nice review. I was surprised to snag one at my local Target the other day and it looks amazing! THIS is the essential trooper builder.

Great review Robo! I loved that intro for this video. Now that I am looking at this line of GI Joe figures those weapons remind me of the "Red Faction" video game. Especially Roadblock's "Rail gun".

So glad you were able to get ahold of one of these. Fwoosh reviews of highly anticipated figures are always a treat, and this is one HIGHLY anticipated figure. Was never a Joe collector before, and I only had a passing familiarity with the I.P. from my childhood. It was enough to get me to order the Deluxe Snake Eyes when that was announced, and now that I've gone in, I love this line, and am excited for more. My only wish is that they'd kept up with the paint details on the weapons like they had in wave 1, but I'm starting to look into learning to do some of that myself, just because I like this line enough to want to enhance their weapons. Great vid, love the content, here's hoping you get Beach Head, Roadblock, and Baroness soon!

Thanks man! Same here, GIJoe wasn't the top of my list, I watched the cartoon, read some of the comics, has a few toys but it was way below Star Wars, Transformers, and Masters. But this line rocks so hard that I can't help loving it.

The thing I love about these figures the most is weapon storage. As a marvel legends collector it’s something I’ve always been missing so once I got my snake eyes I knew I needed more

There might be some kinf of secret map or message on that box Robo. The transformers line (siege, earthrise) comes with secret messages and a decoder (red piece of plastic) on there box

Looks better than the promo images. I'll have to pick 1 up if it becomes easily available. They definitely need to make the vests removable though.

I really love all the kevlar texture on the black areas.

Other than a lack of paint on the accessories, this is really great quality for an army builder. Looking forward to what this line does.

Walked in my target today looking for ninja turtles. Was shocked to see the new G.I. Joe! I hadn't been keeping up to date at all with them. Destro, Roadblock and this one (which I was unaware of) were sold out so I went with Snake Eyes. Needless to say I'm very impressed and now desperately need this and have wave 2 pre ordered

This trooper looks insanely good!!!! The good thing about his nerf guns is they're all black which really helps. Probably the best figure so far in this line not including Hasbro pulse exclusive snake eyes Great review Robo!!!

It’s really cool how you can put all of the accessories on the figure at the same time.

Finally got mine today. Had another Joe fan to back me up, but we convinced the guy to scan it on the POS and it went through. Had to mention that all the other Targets in the area were selling them. And show him the GI Joe Hasbro post.

Lot of work but totally worth it!

You should do a video If you add touches to the guns or other elements of this line. Would love to see how that comes out.

When I heard about this line, I was excited. I saw the first wave and outside of Snake Eyes, I was let down and very iffy on the line. You and others said to give it time, support the line. I bought all of wave 1 other than Roadblock. Destro and Cobra Commander hit, and I was excited again. I then see wave 2 and I am sold. These look fantastic. You all were right. Now I just have to find this dang wave.

Hasbro took those initial complaints of odd color choices and designs to heart and seem to be slowly moving towards a better middle ground. I REALLY liked the initial offerings just because of the possibilities, but I'm loving it more and more now.

Cobra troopers have always been my fav G.I. joe figures

Great review! Look. I love the Classified line. All I want are 2 Cobra Troopers (one to open and one to keep in the box). Same with Beachhead, Big Beard Roadblock and every other single figure in the line. I just want 1 Baroness/cycle to open because I'm pretty sure we'll get an inferior figure in a normal wave down the road. I don't think I'm asking for all that much, right?

Robo looks like he would be a great guy to hang out with. Looks like he is a really nice guy.

for those just discovering this vid. last time i checked target is offering restocks of the cobra island trooper on their website while hasbro pulse is offering preorders as well (that will supposedly be fufilled in october, although the targets appear ready to ship)

God i want one of the new Cobra Trooper... It looks freaking awesome!!!

Great review! Really hope this gets some sort of mainline rerelease or repaint, because not having Target here in Canada is gonna make this a bitch to get otherwise.

I'm thinking it will, no way they restrict one of the major army builders to an exclusive. Gotta think it will hit the main line with different colors or gear.

Not really sure why I watched an 11 month old review of a figure I have owned for a while, but I did. Never noticed the details in the knee pads before, but since you pointed it out, the knee pads do seem to resemble B.A.T.S heads!

been to target like 6 times in the last few days because they finally set up the homes for these guys but they haven't put them out yet. this one and baroness are on my radar, i can feel them in that stock room. Really loving the look of this guy. i need multiples. And holly crap the knife fits in the holster unlike someone else's. I wont name names. As for the guns, i don't have a problem with the nerf style guns with GI Joe. they all ways had laser guns and what not so its all good for me.

Just in case anyone is wondering the guns are a longstrike with a modulus scope, a rapidstrike like rifle and a two protons

Just picked up 2,they do rock!

I managed to get 2 troopers yesterday and it is probably my favorite figure in the line so far. I swear if this character was in grey camo and didn't have the helmet, it would be a great Firefly! The facial expression in the eyes looks fantastic!

EXACTLY! The eyes don't really have that "cannon fodder" look to them, just a grunt. It looks distinct. Someone mentioned Copperhead and yeah, same thing.

Can't wait to get my hands on at least 5 or 6 of these bad boys! So many accessories and the sculpted details and overall aesthetic of this figure screams "Modern Classic". Just like Robo said, "They look way better than they deserve to be". Why do all of the bad guys always look so badass!? :)

Dang it sucks not seeing this line in stores where I live. Only way I can get them is amazon, but one day I will get theses

Great review Robo! The Trooper is looking sick! I'm sure there's a rerelease or variant down the line by why the heck did they put him in a store exclusive wave? I have no problem with the made up guns as long as they look cool. His guns are neat looking but that thing Roadblock has for example sucks, lol.

If you look at the armband it is a Cobra Office emblem. So you can have an Officer with Troopers at his disposal.

Anyone else take a big whiff of that fresh plastic when they open their figures? I'm starting to think Robo is immune to the intoxicating smells of new toys.

I found one GIJoe in store it was in a cardboard shelf thing hanging in the girls section of a Walmart & that’s how I got a Snake Eyes which was the last figure in stock. Not saying girls can’t live GIJoe just an off place to stock it. Now hopefully a Target wave will get me some Joes at Target.

I want to see a B.A.T. in this line, and a Zartan.

I really wish I could have snagged one of these. The preorder was a joke and I have no Targets near me. This is a fantastic figure, based on your review, so I hope to find a couple some day! I caught the Nerf thing right away and posted it to my insta, I kind of like the crossover, honestly! Gung Ho also clearly is using a Halo: Reach shotgun...so they are really borrowing weapons from all over.

Interesting that they went with a full head mask. In the early days the troopers wore just a black or often red bandana type mask (particularly in the comics). When their helmets were off the rest of their face, head, and hair was exposed.

I loved doing World's Greatest Detective but it's so hard to keep an interesting storyline or even one-off going. Intros are just a single gag. I really want to do something though.

Knowing is half the battle, the 'other half' is the arsenal. Dood, that Cobra Trooper is stacked! I'd shave the pegs on the rifles so they wouldn't protrude out so much.
