I find is works a little better to swap the ammo cans around and let the bullet ribbon help hold the cans down, its not perfect, but I plan to find something to jam in there and hold them in place. My only hope is that we get a MOBAT thru HasLab so we can get a complete 1982 set. We should be getting a green MMS with a Col. Hawk. Have the JUMP with Starduster, Grand Slam with a HAL. and then HasLab the MOBAT with Steeler, Zap and Short Fuze as bonus figures. Thats my dream. Great review.

I usually don’t watch those unboxing videos but someone did tag me on IG to show me the correct way so I may do a KZread short to showcase it.

Getting this in hand ... bring on all the vehicles. The VAMP is absolutely awesome! I can't wait for the Sky Hawk. I only picked up one Vamp because I know the inevitable recolors will come one day. But I do kind of wish I had 2, it's just so cool. I see others have mentioned about putting the ammo cans on the short end, that's how I have mine and seems to work fine. Great review ... so glad that you are covering Classified too.

Great review Manny. Real quick about the amo cases. Mine formed on its own. I pushed it down a couple of times. But after a while, the pastic relaxed n stayed flat.

You can use a little sticky tack on the bottoms of the ammo clips to get them to stay still. It looks great with the Ram cycle. I will totally get a second one if they restock.

Clutch and the VAMP look amazing. One day i may pick it up. As a kid i had the 3.75" version. Epic review, Manny.

I got only one. I got some accessories from pixies design. Door roof and the rear steps. Gridiron has some awesome adds on too kind of expensive but great.

That 2nd helmet reminds me of the Genoshian Magistrate helmets from X-Tinction Agenda...

Your ammo cans can lock in place if you stand them up. With the ammo belt sort of laying on the ground. They come together in a small square that traps both of them forming two skinny "x's" next to each other. My only gripes with this is the gun should have been about 2 cm taller and be able to latch on more securely. Then also I would have placed a small platform for a gunner. And made the trunk below the gun removable so I can customize the vamp to be like a jeep and troop carry 3 more figures back there instead of the gun. I would have had to buy two vamps to get two different looks. Oh make the front wheels steer. But these are all minor gripes. Other than that excellent vehicle. 9.5/10 for me.

PUT THE AMMO BOXES VERTICAL, THEY FITMUCH EASIER

Turn the ammo cans so they stand up longways on the platform. You might have to switch which side they are on. Mine standup fine and are not crooked.

use museum wax on the ammo cans...don't freak out lol. Museum wax isn't permanent and it holds them perfectly in place.

I have no complaints. Sturdy on mine. That person may have gotten a faulty one with QC issues but that’s just my guess.

Is that tow hitch on the front a string mechanism or sculpt?

String. I demonstrated it. You can see I pulled it out if you go back and check, maybe you missed that part.

Everybody is doing the ammo cans wrong that’s why they don’t sit right you need to watch Jay C’s review. He puts them in the right spot. I know the instructions don’t specify, but that’s why you’re having trouble with the ammo cans.

missile system, that's what you are getting before anything else that's towable

Pretty sure your ammo cans are in wrong. Don't flip them but do switch them so the cans are still facing the same way but under the opposite gun.

Look at the instructions again! Your ammo cans are backwards. The ribbon feed comes out from the center- not the outside.

Someone on IG tagged me on how to do them correctly. I didn’t think I was doing them wrong the whole time lol. I thought that was how it was supposed to sit naturally but I’ll probably do a short showing the correct way.

That ammo can issue really pisses me off. It feels like an after thought or somebody fogot that the ammo cans need to clip in somewhere. they would have been better off just molding the cans onto the stand somewhere for crying out loud. Also why such an adherence to the old toy in some areas? The one reason the old vamp is not as popular as the Awestriker is that you can load more then 2 figures on it. Its such a huge missed opportunity that there is no appropriately sized side steps with pegs or a rear bumper with footpegs and a grab bar so a figure could man the gun on the back if you want to. Comeone Hasbro where the thought towards play and display here? For the price of the vehicle far too many people are giving the issues on this thing a pass! If it was 50 bucks without a fig sure I could forgive some things but this things is ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! Heck they charged me over 50 dollars to ship it to Canada after duty on top of that. And don't even get me started on the gummy plastics used here. Again the curse of playdough weapons.

No clutch pedal for Clutch? That seems like a missed detail. Even if the vehicle it was based on was an automatic, I bet that Clutch would've done a manual swap.

The ammo cannisters need to be sitting where the bandoliers are coming out of the bottom. It fits nicely and they don't move around.
