I ordered three of these as the basis of a squad, with Rock n Roll as squad support, and Spirit as the scout/tracker, with Stalker as squad leader. Finally, the ability to troop-build for the good guys.

I don't army build much, sometimes I get two for symmetry, but I want a squad of these guys. It's nice having basic good guy troops to fill the ranks.

I mainly build squads of 4-6 and that is generally for the Cobra side of things. However, I'd make an exception on this occasion and it's got me thinking I'd like two more.

Great video, Grunt looks excellent! Using nail clippers on the back of those ties is a quick easy way to cut them loose.

Easily the best version of the figure thus far.

Grunt is on my list. the plan is to get all 82 - 83 essential members for gi Joe. and I ll get my favs Cobras, any year. it s looking good so far, I have all Joes released except Roadblock, I never saw him looking like the 1 rst edition yet. snow job is online exclusive, so I pass. without him, I ll buy no arctic figures. I have torpedo, but eels seem too tough to get yet. I have 4 pyth vipers and bats, could nt get the reg versions. I had to pass Bludd, Zartan, dreadnoks, crimson twins and guards. I m waiting on Destro s iron grenadiers s version to get him. I m getting Firefly and scrap iron if I find them. I have 2 reg officers, but no reg troopers yet, and pyths won t do for me. my CC is dark blue, so it does nt fit his look. hopefully, Hasbro will re - release some more reg vipers, troopers and bats. Baroness and Stormy are already in the bag. I miss Short fuse, Zap, Flash, Doc, and Hawk, I consider Shooter, the hot girl. so it s attainable, we ll see how it goes. expert review! good show bro.

Excellent review! I'm curious about the hand articulation, is he a lefty like all the early Classified figures? I'd also like to know if the neck and hands from Stalker can switch over to the body on this to make a different ethnic trooper with the Steel Brigade head? It should be fun customizing this release.

Big Ben would have been cool if his uniform was actually accurate as for the iron brigade or what ever they call the grunt the removable helmet would have been better and just add the separate head .

This is one cool fig ,I like this guy ,you know maybe to cover the neck you can do a soft goods scarf shemage you know what I mean brother

There's a small pouch on the back of his holster belt you can put Grunt's M16 mag on that small pouch

Great review. This figure looks really good. I don't like the bear neck look with the alternate steel brigade head. Thank God I know how to mold and cast. Maybe I'll try to match that olive drab green and cast some neck pieces in green. Would probably look better with a green neck. I ordered a whole case of the steel brigade two packs.

In the 1982 ver. Grunt wield the Weapons are Assault Rifle, Commando Dagger, Throwing Grenades and Pistol Gun Weapon.

What is your opinion on customizing figures? Krazy gluing parts on so they dont flop, ( like those holsters) etc. Dry brushing accents on weapons or weathering backpacks? I have a torpedo with a locked knee, does heat fix it?

I mean, once the figure is in your hand, you can alter it any way you like. I actually really dig customs and kit bashes. The heat from boiling water should definitely work.

Getting 2 of em...wanted atleast 6 but space constraints blew that up.

Okay so you can heat them up for 30 seconds under some boiling tap water and then set them straight under cold water. Alternatively you can use a hair dryer or heat gun, but be careful not to overdo it.

So out of all these comments no one but me has thought to ask how you have this already??? Most of us have a preorder date of NOV.

It’s his name …he’s a individual character……why’s everyone in this line gotta be a “army builder” now? And of course Hasbro encourages it and that’s the figures there putting out the most now because people are only buy one hawk but if we put out a fucking purple bat or a black officer People are going to buy 3 or 4 or more …….now there taking individual characters like grunt and copperhead and acting like there nameless faceless army builders
