The Vamp guns were typically fired without anyone manning them. My first issue of the comic was #7 and Clutch fired them via handheld remote control while the Joes and Oktober Guard were about to be executed by 2 Cobra troopers. Those were laser guns, but this is close enough.

Yeah but I also remember in the cartoon where Snake Eyes was on the back of the VAMP firing the guns in the Weather Dominator mini-series.

I just got it on Thursday. I love this thing. The gun is supposed to be rotated at the swivel point higher up on the post. Not at the bottom, where it connects to the vehicle. The peg should've been square (and bigger) to hold the gun in place. As for the ammo cans, if you heat up the ammo belts with a hairdryer and then hold the cans in place for a minute while it cools, they will sit flush on the rack. (They still need Blu-Tack to keep them secure, though.)

I havent had any real issue with the ammo boxes but yeah the cannon piece def does not stay on the jeep super great.

You’ve mistakenly called the gear shifter the clutch.

Love it, don’t regret it! I had to take two of the tires off the rims and switch them to have them all facing same direction though, but still no really complaints. Thanks Jay for the review, also love the intro

good review bro ah your intro is just brilliant bro! totally fitting and unexpected, kudos to you! the tow hitch rotates for rough terrain too, good walk around we ll surely see the under of the vamp if my team has to take Hulk down... Hawk; yes Sir! euhhh, it will not be easy, but we ll do it Sir! D ah man that the ram looks sweet next to the vamp! the helmet is also to target and fire the turret, check the mark on the visor otherwise, Clutch just guesses where to fire.... obviously, the gunner needs the helmet the comics showed a remote control for the turret one time me, I figured there were some controls on the dash or console to fire and it was in 82... today, it s a breeze on your cell phone to aim and fire this for sure like, the rolling thunder would never need gunner seats on the 4 turrets, I was disappointed they designed it so outdated, it was a gimmick to say it could carry more figs... heck, auto target, range finders, you d have fully automated cannons 'a la' Aliens! final note it s 5% too small, Gung ho barely fits, it never was so tight to fit him in in 83... but yeah, he s 20% bigger too perhaps, but they should have figured that no? ideally, you should try the bigger figs before production.... cha ba duo! Chinese slang for 'good enough'! and it s a small light recon jeep, we def need Hummers as in 2005, 3 colours, olive, tan, and black, one was a cargo version, excellent! Cobra ; vamp, stinger, and the 'rise of Cobra' H - 3 with interior taking 4 figs the vamp looks like a prototype, great for Cobra but I want more realistic - practical for my team and loose vehicles, rams, jet packs, 4 each for my team ferrets, snakes, claws for Cobra all fig price point like in the 80s I got my ram coming soon, I get Joes, legends, and Indy I can t wait to try them on my ram, punisher is going downtown skidrow... cleaning up the town, D so now you know... good show bro

The ammo cans are the worst they can barely be secured!!! I used thin black strip 2 sided adhesive to secure them to the platform!!! Anyway it's just a toy right 😮 You did a good review 😊

Thanks, I havent had much issue with the ammo boxes on mine but I also not sure they add much. I guess an extra element of realism but I could have lived with out em.

You have to have the ammo belts facing each other when the cans sit on the platform, and it stays pretty secure. The instructions have the right orientation but the wrong location.

I can’t believe I slept on this one. 🤦🏾‍♂️ I hope this becomes available again. 🙏🏾

Great video, Jay I also loved the intro! An excellent homage to the old GIJoe commercials!

I love it, but i HATE the seperate and gummy guns on the back. I wish it was one piece like back in the day. And the lights acted like they didn’t wanna stay on, but i got them right after awhile. Overall, it’s another fantastic product for us old school Joe fans

The real world details on the twin .50 Caliber weapons platform is awesome!

those look like Browning M2 machine guns which are 50cal and firing those out the front of the vehicle would shatter the windshield... not to mention what would happen to the eardrums and skulls of the poor passengers. just point them out the back like they're supposed to be.

So ill throw in my 2 cents!!! To have a correct tread pattern 2 of the tires have to be taken off the rims and switched around for the passenger side! The tread pattern follows the right side of the tires outer teeth pattern small end down!!! other wise all four tires being put on randomly is gonna be a unmatched tread pattern, The ammo boxes sit upright just as you put them on!!! good job that's the way they stay in place!!!"your the first unboxing I've seen to do it correctly!!! and the bullet feed goes in correctly!!! I find it not real secure how the mount hooks on in that peg doesn't lock on just pushes on pretty lame!!! And the tires once mounted are quite loose in place left to right movement if that was done intentionally for real life movements of tire action? Why wasn't the gun turret build better then it was??? I'm just stating what I see here someone's else opinion may vary!!! Over all I believe it make an awesome display piece if weathered as I have mine!!! But as far as rough play with that it would fall all apart especially that cheesy 🧀 gun turret!!! Good review on your part!!!

I really like mine, but the instructions could have been a little better. And I have issues with the lights popping off. I used a little sticky tack on the ammo clips and everything else was good to go. Now I’m patiently waiting for a Tiger Force repaint.

I am disappointed. The shovel is solid but even the machine guns are made of mush. The ammo doesn't stay down flat with the belt lifting it out of place. I feel like after the announcement of the Vanguard hasbro just slapped this out asap. Any figure that has any gear on at all doesn't fit, where is storage? And why did they stop giving figures backpacks???Bummer.

My biggest issue is the seperate and gummy guns too. Should have been ONE solid piece. And i don’t use the ammo boxes because they slide and bounce all over and fall off. And the lights were a pain in the arse to finally get to stay on and upright. But it’s still cool and i still love it🤷🏼‍♂️😂
