I think the “error” in Classified is how you say, ah homage to the past.

I always thought the Cobra officers were the ones with a silver Cobra logo and the troopers always have the red one. I was just cosplaying as a Cobra officer last weekend at our Comic-Con and for some reason everyone just kept calling me Cobra Commander.

Yes, you’re correct silver is officer and red is trooper

I'm sorry. I only have to look at the v1 Python Patrol, 25th Anniversary and the JoeCon exclusives to determine which is which. The black suited version with the armband is the TRUE Officer, the green shirt is the Trooper. It's really not that hard. However, your explanation has me questioning everything I ever thought I knew about these guys. I'm a fan of Python Patrol, but I need to think about how these are going to be displayed on my shelves now.

I like the idea of blacking out the inside of the gray helmet... I'd be curious to see a quick look at it if/when you do it!

Dude. Why are you doing this to my sensibilities? I want the newer packaged black “officer”and not so much the the plastic packed Brussel sprout trooper…..but I’ve been watching your Python Patrol Trouble Bubble video. And now this. And so here’s me, about to head off tomorrow and hunt new figs….And because of your convincing display of Python Awareness of late, after months of swearing I wouldn’t, I may damn well end up collecting a few of these. I so badly want to give them Jamacian steel drums for some reason….

This was my plan anyway based on the 2 heads, but I am glad you explained this and legitimize the decision.

Perhaps they are non-commissioned officers and the others are commissioned officers? Either way I love debates like this lol

I'm having to buy everything I can to get a Cobra Army! I was never able to get Cobra Troopers or Cobra Infintry. As a result my Cobra Army is all over the place. The biggest number I have is 14 Cobra Officers, then I have 3 Snow Serpents, 2 Crimson Guards, 2 Python Officers, 2 Vipers and Viper Officer, 2 Copperheads, 2 Range Vipers, Mole Rat, 4 BATs, 2 Artic BATs, 1 Crimson Bat. So, I have enough Cobra to fight 1 Joe! LOL It's a long slow process to Army Build. Even moreso since I use Cobra as a subgroup of Hydra! Ah, buy my Joe's have even worse trouble! I have the Joe's under the command of General Thunderbolt Ross! That means 'Hulk Hounding'! Poor Joe's.

The second head is the Infantry head and fits the helmet better cause the helmets of the Infantry trooper and officer are different sizes.

@@Toyenhancer speaking of customs i found that when i used a valaverse female trooper to make a female cobra officer i had to use the male officer helmet instead of the valkyrie one cause it wasn't big enough.

Nawh, bro. The original 82s were the actuallly the mistake. Python patrol was the correction

Well, if you look at the 82s compared side-by-side, the one that was called, the trooper with the red symbol has very bland, webbing and no symbol on his helmet, which makes sense for a trooper. And if you look at the officer, with the shiny silver and bolt symbol ,he has complicated webbing on with extra pouches and a symbol on his helmet V-shaped. Which makes sense because an officer would be more dressed. Where the trooper needs to look more simplified.
