Always loved how O'Neil had stashed away a bite of bread and used it to keep herself awake and have that bit o energy to keep going - but also the fact she wasn't stingy. Just quietly. "Here ya go, man." Role model right there.

sleep deprivation is a torture like you can't even imagine,,,you know you reach it when your brain starts buzzing inside and you feel a vibration inside your brain

Fun fact, sleep deprivation is a real part of basic training in the military. Probably the worst part of basic training for me.

I remember my DS telling me that the Army only requires that they give me 4 hours of sleep, but they didn't say that had to be consecutive hours.

The difference between love and vocation. The reason why I'm currently in film school and taking on a part time job to make sure I stay in film school. I love, what I'm doing. I want to do what I'm currently learning to do, and want you to know that I am doing my absolute best to ensure I not only succeed but continue doing what I do. Not only does it keep me awake at 6 am classes until 9pm classes are done, but I am excited to let you know JUST WHY I AM DOING WHAT I'M DOING. Nothing can stop me from showing you just why I'm here. Wonderful scene, very immersive and very well done in capturing a unique human emotion and feeling!

I remember in AIT,the DS's cancelled our weekend pass & told us to write a 500 word paragraph about Why Did I Join Army. I wrote mine & only the senior DS liked what I wrote.

Papamonday Evolution: a movement or one of a series of movements of troops, ships, etc., as for disposition in order of battle or in line on parade. Don't read too much into it. The word has been used outside of natural science long before Darwin. It's synonymous with "event" or "group action/movement."

Master Chief should have been called, Master GRIEF lol

Here's a tidbit for you future operators of ANY branch,the instructors don't care about YOU,they care about your attitude to surpass the next obstacle.I don't need to say more.They want to see,and this is very important,how you handle stress!

Some of this Movie was good. Like this scene where the Instructor's tone can turn on a Dime. Long monotone classes about doing terrible things to People. Patrolling, Platoon Attack, Executing an Ambush. Not just a Navy Seal thing...

Respect the chief and the candidates for going through these grueling exercises. This is serious real world shit, when you go to war you're gonna have to be alert always. Your fellow soldiers lives are at stake.

He's not talking about evolution, as in the theory of evolution. He uses the word "evolution" to describe the next phase of their training. After he reads O'Neil's paper, he says, "Are you ready for the next evolution, lieutenant?"

Should have put on some Bob Ross instead of the opera. Ross would have put every grunt to sleep in the 1st 3 mins flat lol

Johannes Dänske I beleive a woman could endure the pain because of there high pain threshold with birthing a child its they lack the musculature of men most a anyway and higher body fat which is why they get cold easier
