Oo-gi is only the Korean enunciation. Her fellow countrymen especially her family, friends, and every non-Chinese who speaks Mandarin use the proper pronunciation: "Yoo-Chee". What's the point? The Koreans enunciates the F like a P and therefore Frank in Korea is Prank. Furthermore, the Korean enunciation of "Oo-gi" wouldn't match any meaningful Chinese characters for a nice soundiing name so no sane Chinese parents would even choose that combination of syllables for their offsprings.

Commented before I finished the video lol. Soyeon's nasal voice is actually closest to her natural singing voice but she got criticized for it a lot. Her and Yuqi really showcase their unique voices in Nxde as a way to show that they're proud of being different. If you like how deep Yuqi's voice is, Nxde is going to be amazing for you!

Yes, Soojin is the one who left, rather the company forced her to leave because of a controversy that ended up being false. She was literally the main character of the group, but they knew how to get ahead after she left the group

Unfortunately it wasn't proofed false. It was still wrong though, that people get cancelled for mistakes they did as children. Kids do mistakes and repent, they shouldn't have their whole future butchered for it. That's one of the big problems in Kpop. :(

I have been a Blackpink fan for two years, but when I listened to Soyeon I fell in love. She is the best! I love her way of rapping, just amazing. She is the queen. 👑

If you like darker concept like “oh my god”. I recommend “put it straight (nightmare version)”, b-side “Dark(the x-file)”, b-side “Villian Dies”, and Soyeon’s single “Pyscho”. But also I really want to see your reaction of “Nxde” as well 😂😂😂

Honestly, when it comes to Idle, you can’t go wrong with what you react to because all of their songs are a solid 10/10. (Also, In Korea the G is silent so it’s only Idle) Yuqi is pronounced “Yutschi” in chinese and in Korean its Uki (Ugi). Both ways are correct.

Yes, you are hearing Soyeons "stage voice". Everything about her in the songs and videos is a stage persona. In real life she is soft, sweet, and thoughtful... unless she is teasing Yuqi... but Yuqi enjoys her teasing. For the "Lion" video, they start out as lions who are temporarily caged or lounging, with their power hidden. Your "prison uniform" observation is pretty on point. We see Soyeon behind the bars of a cage looking uncomfortable and I think her rap verse signifies the seemingly docile lion suddenly attacking and reminding us of it's true nature.

I LOVE your Gidle reactions! my recommendation for the next video would be the HANN trilogy which is 3 songs HANN(alone), HANN( Alone in winter) and HWAA The first HANN was a single release but the second Hann and Hwaa are the first two tracks in their mini album I BURN. Soyeon produced all 3 songs and she said that they're related and recommended we listen to them in order. I think you'd really enjoy this trilogy since you really liked Oh my god and Lion. In Korean there's no difference between Lion and Lionese it's the same word which is Lion, used for both. So "I'm a queen like a lion" it's correct considering lyric wise and meaning wise in my opinion.

Thank you for reacting to one of my fav kpop group ! Lion is probably one of my favorite songs : their voices, the visuals.. everything is amazing. Our Soyeon is truly the best. You should also react to "NXDE" which in my opinion is a masterpiece, it conveys a message about women in society.

I think it is important to tell you that Soojin didn't leave because she wanted to (in fact all the 6 girls seemed to get along very well and rumor has it that Soyeon did a tattoo in tribute to Soojin). The company dropped her because she was falsely accused of being a bully during her school days. When she was later proven innocent, the damage was already done. She debuted as a solo artist this month and is receiving all the support from international fans. On the other hand, Korean fans are not being as supportive. AND unfortunately the same thing happened with the 6th member of Le Sserafim. She was also proven not guilty and is now studying to be an actress.

this guy gets gidle. You just know when he said he likes their attitude SECONDS before they say “this is my attitude”. One thing that you probably noticed by now is that the voices match the part of the song very well. Like minnie’s and yuqi beautiful harmony in tomboy. This is because soyeon writes the songs and assigns lines to members to match their vocal strengths. She takes in input from the members, so it’s not like she’s a dictator, but she takes extra care to make sure the lines fit each singer. One example is how she tries her best to line up syllables on certain notes so the songs are easier to sing and pronounce.

The G in (G)I-dle stands for Girl that's why in Tomboy they say and write it without the G because the whole point of the song ("it's neither man nor women, man nor women") is to distance themselves from this "Girl" label because of the sexism in the industry. "They're good for a girl group" "she's a very good rapper for a women" are all backhanded compliments often used in the fandom, so G-Idle is saying to just look at them as people and artists without making assumptions because of their gender, hoped that helped :)
