saying this because I read the comments under one of their MVs and was surprised to see no praise for soyeon. I was surprised because I read the description and the credits were ALL her name. many stans hype up idols although they have the least credit among dozen other song writers. and I was disappointed to rather see a hate comment saying soyeon is greedy because she gave herself the most lines. that was the only comment about her and it left an impression on me.

shuhua being a foreigner still has problems with pronunciation and she did not even get proper lines before so she probably does not have as much experience in techniques and how she would get the best of her voice. i really love Soyeon for bringing the best out of each member. she is alot patient and professional

I love her individual approach to everyone, shows her detail and eye for each member. I also love how they don't take offense and deliver on her advice. Such a great team honestly

Soyeon is so amazing. She has such a clear vision for what she wants out of a song AND she knows how to communicate that effectively to the members. She knows exactly what to tell them to help them convey the exact right emotions and how to coach them if they’re not quite getting it. I love the way she mentors Shihua here. She’s extraordinary. I love seeing how her face lights up when they nail it the way she hears it in her head. And she holds herself to the same high standard for her own parts. You see her demanding more takes from herself to get it right just as she would for the other members.

I know very little about (G)I-DLE so please do not take this as being rude. But, is Soyeon the leader? She referred to the others as 'unnie' meaning that they are older. Usually, one of the oldest, if not the oldest, in a group is made leader. Or am I missing something about them?

@@McKavian you're right that its unusual that a leader isn't the oldest member. in soyeon's case, she was chosen as leader bc of her position as their producer as well as having more industry experience, since she was on several competition shows and had a solo debut before gi-dle.

This is the first time I watch a non-performance video of G-idle. They are so cute and lovable here compare to the strong and powerful impression on stage. Should have known them sooner

She doesn't have the best vocals, compared to the others, I think she is the weakest on this particular subject, but she has something really strong about her way of being a leader and, judging by this video alone, she is very exigent in a good way, because she knows what she wants and she instructs her girls to do the "right way". She has a big potential to be a great producer. And yes, I know she sings really well too. I've seen some presentations of her alone. She is good. She is my favorite, btw, because of her "je ne sais quoi" 😂 I mean, she seems like a "regular girl" by day and completely transforms herself at night...

흠 이 영상으로 전소연이 얼마나 음악을 사랑하고 또 아이들을 아끼는 지 알겠다... 일단 멤버들 티칭하는 거 보고 깜짝 놀랐음. 누군가를 티칭한다는 건 실력이랑은 또 다른 이야기인데... 더군다나 한 분야에서 두각을 나타내는, 소위 천재라고 불리는 사람들의 입장에서 누군가를 가르친다는 건 더 어려운 일일텐데, 각 멤버에 맞는 매끄러운 티칭을 해주며 곡을 완성해나가는 모습이 정말 대단하게 보인다. 물론 편집된 부분들도 있겠지만 어쨌거나 정말 애정이 있으니까 이렇게 프로듀싱을 하는 거겠지....... 이걸 따라오는 민니, 미연, 우기, 그리고 슈화도 정말 대단하다. 포기할 법도 한데 정말 끈기가 대견해요ㅠㅠ ㅠㅠ나는 덕분에 이렇게 좋은 음악 듣네요ㅠㅠ 고마워요! 아이들 파이팅!!!!!

I think the most amazing thing about watching this is that she doesn't just sing, but she is also thinking about how to TEACH how to sing. A lot of people know how to do something but they don't necessarily know how to teach it back to someone. And not only that, but Soyeon considers how each member learns and takes into consideration everyone's weakness so they all get to the same point as she does. She doesn't get frustrated when someone doesn't do something right, but instead takes it upon herself to change the way she teaches. This level of empathy isn't something even all teachers have. And I say this as a former teacher.

Oh Man!..I'm not even a fan of these girls.But here I'm watching a 20 minutes long video of soyeon directing a song.As an outsider even I can see how much effort she put. Honestly speaking She is reallly talented and she IS underappreciated.

Notice how she gave directions to Shuhua using movements or hand gestures like punching in the air or drawing on Shuhua's palm. She knew which approach works on every members. Soyeon is literally genius.

Yuqi is a music genius 😭😭😭 she gets all the instructions immediately 👏👏👏

I'll go toe to toe to the people who refuse to believe Soyeon is an Ace and say her vocal are not good. She can do different tone and emotion to her rap and singing and she do this to other members aswell. @@xx-gz1gt she has good distribution, she knows who’s voice suits where and I don’t think miyeon gets less lines. The only members with less lines would be shuhua but shuhua said herself that she doesn’t like having a lot of lines because she is not confident and it’s hard :(

They record many times, do splicing if necessary (take the good parts from each recording) and if absolutely necessary they do pitch correction. That's just the best way to do things. Photographers do the same thing, especially for group photos. If you have 30 people in a photo then it will be really hard to get a picture where everyone looks good. So you take many pictures then edit using the many photos.

K-pop doesn’t need pretty idols with only good features but they definitely need JEON SOYEON!! It’s so great that she knows every member’s talent and tries to make them shine equally!!! Hope people realise and appreciate such talents instead of comparing idols due to their looks and body shaming the idols…Because talent is what matters and idols like Soyeon should be known and appreciated!!!

Soyeon is a true inspiration. Not only does she have a vision of what she wants it to sound like, but she also stands alongside the members in achieving that sound. Constantly encouraging, laughing & changing with them. The teaching of using your fist when doing the "Baby how do I look" part proves it all. She's one of the best leaders there's ever been for a kpop group.

In addition, she does not produce songs only for her group, but also for other artists. It was also thanks to her song that CLC won the first award in their history in music show. Soyeon is not just a producer or rapper. Everything that appears in each of the mv was her idea. Even clothes, nails, hairstyles, climate etc. Don't take credits from her. GD is not even her role model. She is a fan of Block B.

전소연이 슈화 프로듀싱하는 부분에서 다시한번 놀람. 멤버 눈높이에 맞춘 디렉이라니.. 슈화의 경우 말도 서툴러서 다른 작곡가한테 디렉받으면 많이 혼날수도 있고 분위기 다운될수도있을텐데, 전소연이 차근차근 잘 이끌어 나가네. 전소연 진짜 대단함.
