Some info (long comment) IDLE were introduced with their own "PERSONALITIES" to show. Thus making each unique and the group diverse. Some songs here are b-side. POP/STARS by K/DA (and other LoL songs) only have Soyeon and Miyeon included, released in Nov 2018, just few months after their debut (May 2018). The 2nd-4th songs are HANN (Alone) >> HANN (Alone in Winter) and HWAA, are part of the trilogy Soyeon created with Shuhua as her inspiration, being the female protagonist. She finds her "PURE BEAUTY". From Left to Right: MINNIE -Personality: "DREAMY" -Thai -she always have the velvet and "high" voice yet so soft and powerful. -she have a lot of features, solos, collabs, covers, etc. -she also starred in a Netflix series "SO NOT WORTH IT" MIYEON -Personality: INNOCENT -Eldest -the main and power vocal, tho she don't have a love of high notes in their title tracks, a lot can be heard on B-Sides and on her collabs, OST, and features. Minnie and Miyeon have a duet for an OST of a Kdrama. -she have a Solo Album "MY" (I love DRIVE and TE AMO) -she is also a mini actress starring on multiple web series. SOYEON -Personality: CHARISMATIC -Leader, Rapper, Producer, Writer, Composer -tho she's known for her rapping skills, she is also a vocal goddess, that were mostly heard on their B-side ballads. She also have pre-IDLE songs "JELLY" and "IDLE SONG" (yes, to tease her upcoming group), and "THE LOVELESS" (which is a hidden gem known to true Nevies) -she have her solo album "WINDY" -Indeed, she took initiative for their debut song LATATA, since their company doesn't have one delaying their debut. From 2nd album, she's always part of their music. YUQI -Personality: CUTE -Chinese -contradicting to her natural cuteness is also her naturally deep voice -tho introduced as one of the dancers, she also have vocal talents in both melodic and rap -and YES, she MUST look at the lyric monitor or else she will mess up her own lyrics. -have solo album "A PAGE" (2 songs only) -but she got a lot of covers that she mostly gives during her birthday -she have her own IDLE series called YUQI's LEARN WAY SHUHUA -Personality: CHIC -Taiwanese -she don't have a lot of lines due to her pronunciation and language barrier, which was bullied and criticized by Kfans. -but she were always given catchy lines that will be remembered -despite all these, her voice is not a joke either. She is called "Vocal Chameleon" by Soyeon since she can range from Minnie, Miyeon, (and Soojin), thus making some lyric videos wrong when it comes to her lines. -you can see here that she got a lot of line since most of Soojin's lines were sang by her. -she might look the shy and quiet but she is the meaning of chaotic. if you think that "off the shoulder" part is good, check their TOMBOY and NXDE - Tipsy Edition clip SOOJIN (former member) -Personality: (SEXY) -main dancer -she got a soft, angelic voice -due to her absence, her lines (and personality at some point) were handled by Shuhua (her wifey and best friend among the group)

19:42 Soyeon wrote and co-composed their debut song, because the company was dragging its feet and delaying debut, so she wrote Latata, and it won in the blind listening test. Other composers made the rest of the songs on I Am (the debut album), though Soyeon co-wrote them - which likely means she wrote her rap, while other lyricists wrote the rest of the song. (When I say "co-composed", Soyeon is the primary creative force, and a pro (very often Big Sancho) helps out by filling the more technical and/or organisational parts like buying samples, creating final master, things like that.) However, since then, starting with their next album I Made, there has not been a song where either Soyeon, or later one of her proteges Minnie or Yuqi, was not the primary songwriter. Minnie's songwriting debut was Blow Your Mind on the next album I Made, and she has made ten or so other songs since (mostly both lyrics and music). Yuqi started participating in songwriting starting with Dumdi Dumdi, but I guess Lost from I Burn would be her first properly own creation. She also co-wrote and co-composed one of the two songs on her own solo album. She has written about half-dozen songs since, some where she only composed, but also some where she wrote lyrics too. Miyeon has long ago expressed interest in songwriting as well, but so far we only know she wrote lyrics for Rain on her solo album, on a composition Yuqi did for her. Even on many of Minnie's and Yuqi's songs Soyeon also has credits, whether as a co-composer or a co-writer (again, she prides on always writing her own rap), but all the songs where Yuqi or Minnie haven't made, it was Soyeon. She also wrote and co-composed everything on her own solo EP, Windy. The only exceptions I can think of are the K/DA songs, which are written by Riot Games's music team. Currently (and this is veeery approximate), Soyeon makes about 50% of their songs, and Minnie and Yuqi about 25% each, with Minnie and Yuqi's share of credit growing with each comeback.

The members from left to right are Minnie, Miyeon, Soyeon, Yuqi, and then Shuhua. Soyeon from their debut has written, composed, and has helped produce every single song from their debut to their mini album I burn. I burn is when Yuqi the girl in the light kind of blonde hair and then Minnie the girl with the bangs started to also do the same on some songs. Soyeon has helped on some songs that yuqi and Minnie did but other than that she has done every song except a few that Yuqi and Minnie did all on their own.

Man I'm glad they did this dingo. Idle is one of those groups that I absolutely love but somehow forget about in between comebacks. But when I'm reminded of them, they're legit Top 3 fav groups. Yup, Soyeon wrote every song here, except Popstars. Minnie and Yuqi have written a number of B-Sides, and since their return from hiatus in 2022... their last three albums have had Soyeon, Yuqi, and Minnie each writing 2+ songs each album. As you alluded to in your outro, Idle has great appeal in that their personalities and feelings are apparent in their music. It feels very real when they put out songs.

Happy to see you liked this small taste of (G)I-Dle talent. Most of their songs, even B-Sides, are so good, even from the first album. Most songs of this videos are main song, but as you heard it in your 'never die' album reaction, they kill it in all song. For Yuqi, you can also check her nice covers of many songs (flowers, ...) Omg I love them! It's so hard to pick a bias in this group. I flip flopped quite a bit but Shuhua is my girl ultimately and she has really blossomed in the past few comebacks!
