Where else can you go from Adrian Legg to Dave Cobb to Jake E Lee, to Tom Morello, to Tom Bukovac, to Jason Isbell, to Doug Wimbish, Duane Betts, to Uli Jon Roth, to Phil X, to G.E. Smith with all the rest!! This was where I learned who Tyler Bryant & Tom Bukovac were. And the Ace in the hole is John Bohlinger!!!! Can't get enough. GE is a recognized Telecaster player but in reality he’s a big guitar nerd like Bonamassa and all of us and his taste in vintage guitars is widespread. A big reason for me to tune into SNL every Saturday night was to check out his playing and which guitars and amps he would use...😉👍

I remember the video he made a few years back playing Bloomfield’s hacked up Tele. GE really has a lot of admiration and respect for Michaels playing. They are both in the same boat as players. Both monsters of the instrument yet relatively unknown outside of the guitar community. Mr. Smith you are the genuine article! It’s awesome to have KZread these days and be able to see these videos of you playing. As a teenager I loved seeing you on SNL playing tasty licks and showcasing all of those gorgeous vintage guitars. At that time it was my only access to drooling over a black guard Tele or a 58 V etc. Thank you so much!
