Reminds me a little of 'Sober' in that regard. Honestly, what I get from this is the sadness in the "glamorous" life of an idol/rockstar. On the outside, it's a banger, but if you listen--truly listen--there's a lonely heart that lies underneath. This song is genius, and I'm constantly in awe of GD. Amazing. Shame this record didn't get the recognition it deserved.

Behind this upbeat song is a very sad meaning. GD writes songs based on how he feels or his bottled up emotions. I just realized that most of the songs he has has written holds a sad meaning just like the song missing you. It also has a good melody which somehow makes the meaning unnoticeable unless you pay attention to it. GD is very famous, he has millions of fans out there but it is still different to have someone he can call his own, someone who will stay by his side no matter what happens, off/on cam, someone who will make him believe again to forever. I hope that he'll find that someone soon. Or maybe he found that person already lol. Regardless, I wish him genuine and infinite happiness. It may be difficult for VIPs to accept the girl he likes/ will like for we ship him with different ladies but then again it's his happiness that should always come first. Oppa, Fightingggg!! Who knows maybe I am that woman lol hahaha *wishful fan here*

Man, I feel you so much. I hope that he not only find someone romantically (if that is what he wants), but moreso, I hope that he finds peace with himself. I saw this song in a few ways 1) a message to a former lover/partner 2) a message to his band 3) a message to himself. He's such a creative soul, a beautiful musician. However, underneath all the glam and celebrity is a human. I hope he can find peace in this world. And that starts with himself. (sorry, I know you posted this a while ago but I'm just so passionate about this song!)

without reading the english translation, i know that it is a sad song especially when he cried at the last part. He seems partying but sad deep inside. i dont know why i can relate on the sadness of this song.

The song is so upbeat, yet his lyrics are so, so emotional and meaningful. He is truly powerful.

I rmbed how i used to be this emo and depressed person and I loved how relatable this song is. I felt really lonely, i was so confused why everybody seemed to be happy while i couldn't. It's so broken it's beautiful, made me able to cry and shout through this song, to life itself. Wanna say thank you to this man right here for presenting such a beautiful song. ❤️

I remember my older sister being so into Korean music when she was in secondary school, I was still in primary school. She would get up early in the morning and while I'm still asleep but sort of awake I would hear this song play from her phone on full blast. I would always imagine a typical party video from the early 2010's. I then researched the video and shocked when I was greeted with the opposite. I was expecting something like "I gotta feeling" by Black Eyed Peas, a happy upbeat song about partying, but there's something sad that I'm not getting. As a 17 year old who just looked at the English translation after year of not hearing it, glad to say it hits different.

When you first hear the song, the melody and instrumentation make you joyful/make you happy. But underneath that happiness is the meaning of the song, the lyrics. At first it seems like he's talking to someone (maybe a former lover or friend). But what if he's talking to himself? The song becomes that much more tragic if we consider it from the self talking to the self perspective. Honestly, this entire song (this entire album) is genius. I am constantly amazed by GD---no, by Kwon Ji Yong. The way he's able to tap into the human soul while still making an enjoyable song is just.....there are no words. We don't often get artists like him, and I don't think this world deserves him sometimes. May he find peace in life. I wish the loneliness and vulnerability he shows in his songs will be tempered by the love those around him give. Thank you for sharing you music with the world.
