G-BODY POSI-TRAC DIFFERNTIAL UPGRADE

in this episode we change the open carrier with a posi-trac unit making both rear wheels have power. also we swapped the 2:23 gear ratio ring and pinion with a 4:10 gear ratio for better acceleration.
this video is missing a few steps... just a overview of the job not a how to.

    rides good ... way more pep... can peel out now...rpms a little hi on the hi way but was expecting that.

    yes alot better .... car is much quicker now

    Why did you go with 4:10 gears?

    Because of the big wheels and the 4 speed trans upgrade...I want the quickest 1/4 mile time so 4:10 is perfect ...if you have a 3 speed trans and regular size wheels 4:10 gears will have your top speed about 95mph...not good for hiway
