Denis Bouriakov is the Paganini of the flute. It seems there's no a score complex enough to be a challenge for him!
I like the pianist's interpretation ... Lot of dynamics... Wonderfully played ! congrats both of you !

This is the best version ever recorded. No flutist is or has ever been half as great as this man. He is the GOAT of all flutists.

You can say he’s your favorite but don’t make bold statements like that. Bouriakov is an accomplished flutist without a doubt, but there are plenty of flutists out there (Jasmine Choi, Emmanuel Pahud, Gary Schocker, etc.) that are at the same level as him. Besides, there is no such thing as the greatest of all time. There are just too many factors that you have to take into consideration when you are evaluating a flutist.

I attended a flute recital at the Moore School of Music on the U Houston campus today, and the (superb) last performance was -- you guessed it -- Fantasie Brillante sur 'Carmen'.

Nahh easy peasy I could play that. At least the 2 notes. ha ha ha Fantastic bravo Denis. I have come into some money and looking to upgrade my flute must get back into it but at 65 fingers are not so nimble.
no resistance in this flute it's obvious, it's a style. this generation gave birth to ''performance''. for fun I like to listen to the old recordings of Gaubert, Heriche,.. they teach us about the origin of this flute born from the industrial era.
