FXE 4051 South (EMD SD70ACe) on the Nogales Subdivision. On 1-14-2021

Two EMD SD70ACe engines power a daily manifest train towards Nogales, Mexico. The location is at Elephant Head Road, north of Amado, Arizona. The opening view shows the distant Catalina Mountains near Tucson.
This train normally has a Union Pacific leader and FXE power trailing. But not this time. I happened to hear the ID of the leader so made an effort to get a good video. Got to like the mechanical bells, too.
Notes on the catch: Via scanner, I heard the crew receive a verbal track warrant while it was in Tucson. Frequency 16.320. With a UP leader, I believe the warrant is transmitted to the crew using an in-cab screen. Perhaps the Ferromex engines do not have that. Warrant was from MP 1 to 54 on the Nogales sub. If monitoring the Gila sub layout on the ATCS Monitor, the departure from Tucson can be seen. From recent experience, the train seems to depart Tucson between 7am and 9am.
In the Green Valley area you can catch the crew toning up the radio controlled switches located at MP 24.65. And the nearby detector is at MP 25.9. Frequency is 160.995. It takes the train about an hour and 25 minutes to travel from Tucson to Elephant Head Road at MP 34.19.

FXE units do not have PTC and they usually trail on every train while in the USA. Nogales sub has them regularly and the BNSF El Paso sub gets them on thru freights every once in a while
