Red riders are surprisingly fun for being trash tier air guns!!!
Your just scratching the surface of the world of PCP airguns. They have ones all the way up to .50cal easily capable of of taking hogs and bigger. "Full" semi-automatic ones, ones that can shoot arrows. Slugs are now very popular for longer ranges. Its a whole new world of fun.
“A symphony of boning” 😂
Happened to be at the range the other day. Two older gentlemen had two custom air rifles. Spot on accurate at 100 yards and extremely quiet. Very impressed.
The air recharge would be interesting to get info on.

@@joshuagibson2520 Thanks for mentioning the pump model. $300 for an air pump should also have been mentioned when the $1700 rifle cost was mentioned in the video. I thought about buying a PCP but for my usage I am happy I went with Weihrauch HW30S and HW50S break barrel air rifles.
With every pallet that goes into the magazine, essentially has the same concept as custom loads for your center fires you have to inspect for defects in the skirt, casting lines and other abnormalities for absolute accuracy.
I got the Umarex "notos" and it's AWESOME. A great budget friendly alternative airgun.

Thanks you, Mr and Mrs Outlaw. I'll be following this air rifle journey with great interest. And finally a win for the Wrong Handed amongst us!
Great to see you do an airgun review! Love to see more in the future.
Awww yes! I picked up one similar a couple years back to relive my boyhood BB gun obsession. Precharged air guns are a blast! Definitely another rabbit hole to fall down. 💰💰💰
Absolutely love this content. Took the plunge into the airgun world around Thanksgiving. I can't get enough. If you step up with the Panthera you will find they are dedicated slug guns. If you are dealing with Utah Airguns you're in good company. There is a lot to learn with airguns, but well worth it. Would like to see more of this.
Been looking for a good air gun love it thank you
Damn, you just had me looking at those badass air gun pistols. This video just came out. I love this guy “Honest Outlaw”. This gun is sick AF!
Nice to see you branching out. I haven’t had much exposure to air guns myself
I appreciate you doing this video, i was curious about those types of air guns . I seen a few at my local store . Thanks
First time seeing your channel, and enjoyed it. You're going to love these things. I've been centerfire my whole life, and since December, I'm about to purchase my 3rd one, and have one on a tripod at the back slider that's set up 24/7. Once you get familiar with the ballistics and learn to tune it, you can literally stack them on top of each other at impressive distances. Enjoy the journey.

After watching the ending, check out the following channels for the hunting capabilities of these things. AIRARMSHUNTINGSA, which is Matt Duber's channel. And Utah Airguns's channel, which it sounds like, is who you got the rifle from. And, I definitely agree with the expense part. But how it's worked out for me, and something to consider is, I can't go home after a long day and shoot my centerfire out my back door. I come home and pit 50 to 75 rounds out back to destress. It's paying for itself, in my case. haha. And being where you are, I'm sure there's plenty of pest control you can do, especially with the higher power calibers.
One of the few things I am proud of about being from Utah. Also, grew up a stones throw from what is now the Utah Airguns shop.
Refreshing change of pace. I live in town and it was not uncommon to see six tree rats cleaning out my bird feeders. I picked up a Umarex Syrix, (Yes the same company that makes the H&K Tactical .22) Mine drives tacks with iron sights! Don't S*** on air guns. Mine definitely has it's place in the rotation.

Certainly some massive limitations in comparison to the product in this video, but for me personally it just doesn't come up enough to be worth spending over 10x the money haha If I'm not mistaken, there are a lot of REALLY solid products with similar capabilities closer to the $700 point though? Certainly trade offs, but I think what Outlaw has here is a premium product entering the territory of "diminishing returns" Edit: I see now that I've looked up the syrix it's pretty similar to my prowler!

I grew up hunting with shotguns and rifles. Since I started getting reacquainted with airguns a few years ago, I haven’t hunted with a firearm since. I’m addicted to these things. I even have one for deer hunting. These things are the wave of the future.
Super cool to see you do some airguns on the channel. Lot to it just like firearms.
That's a winning combo for sure. Can't wait to see more of its performance in action.
FX airguns are amazing. You get your regulators and hammer spring adjusted and you will have a tack driver. Its like any firearm you will need to find out what ammo it likes the best but JSB and H&N both work very well in mine.
They should make a pump action version of this. That way we can shoot as fast as Mrs. Outlaw while standing!
Oh wow, I never knew you wanted to try airguns. You definitely picked 1 of the best. Airguns are definitely fun as hell. cheaper ammo price and quiet 👍🏽
Air gun tech has been fantastic for about a 10 years, just keeps getting better. I’m a big fan of having a bunch of conventional firearm ammo on hand - however - I also keep 50,000 air gun pellets (.177 and .22) on hand as well (for small game hunting).
Bought an Aircuda a few weeks ago as my first "real" airgun. Crazy technology and accuracy! A little bit removed from the Daisy bb gun days.
My favorite gun channel reviewing a PCP?! Clicked "like" at the first few seconds. I'm positive it would be good.
I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who gave some poor rabbit A massive bruise as a child.
the FX Panthera Hunter Compact looks like a beast! Legal in all 50 states and whisper quiet?
The wind has been ridiculous for a month in east Tennessee too. We even had a tornado in Sunbright.
You jumped right into the deep end! FX air guns are top tier and priced accordingly. I have a $300 Umarex Notos with Arken Zulus for back yard pesting and recreation. You don't have to break the bank if you are a poor like me. lol BTW get some slugs for that bad boy. They are more accurate at distance and carry more power down range.

Haha man you are so right ..😀 .I cant break the bank aswel.FX ?so much out there .none breaking bank.
In this configuration this little shooter will take small game and pests with ease. Floating around somewhere is an aftermarket adaptation that fires 12" bolts around 250fps and is said to be suitable for larger varmints and turkey sized foul.
A decent .22 air rifle is a must have for any shooter. You'll learn more about judging wind with that than anything else- learning on "hard mode" is best. It's also amazingly useful for a homesteader- it lacks the range and noise of .22LR but the omphy ones will take a racoon. But for under $200, you've got something that will manage squirrels and smaller rabbits. I've got an ammo can with spare parts and a cleaning kit and I'm not sure how many pellets but it's at least 10K.
Taurus has something different here. The TS9 would be an awesome review. You can teach us about it. Thank You for your content. I actually appreciate the airgun review. This you can take out anytime and almost anywhere. Something like this is needed for me because working a lot I miss my shooting window but I am so trigger happy.
Great review! In the Florida Keys we have an iguana problem. It is legal to use an air rifle and there are actual businesses that you hire to take care of them. Alot of homeowners have a gun. However if you shoot a chicken, you get a fine 😅.
I think the modern air guns are very interesting with their power i’ve wanting to try one myself I just can’t feel the need to break over because they’re as expensive as some good rifles But I know they make air guns that are less expensive. Good review keep up the good work
PCP airguns are awesome. I've wanted to get one for some time now. The rifle itself is not cheap then you also have to factor in the refilling equipment and portable bottles if you're on the go. I still want one, but I can do lots of varmint hunting with a suppressed bolt action .22 using subsonic ammo for way less than a PCP rig and equipment.
a nice change from the "wonder9's" and much appreciated
The air rifles you can now are a different species than the Crossman I had as a kid. I have seen some really high power ones that fire .50 caliber pellets that can be used for deer hunting.
I bought a PCP .177 last year for varmint control. Incredible rifle, but more expensive than every other “real” gun that I own.
I really hope you like it. Air guns are pretty cool. I just installed a Monstrum Hornet on a Crosman Legacy to see if I can get it out to 200!
Reminds me of the Tikhar from the Metro games. 😅 Simply amazing!
Oh man I'm an air rifle fan from way back, roaming small properties in the hills going after rabbits or squirrels when neighbors are too close for even a 22. But I admit watching air rifle shooting on the big screen might risk putting people to sleep

I can't imagine using an airgun for defense/combat, so air management wouldn't be as big of a risk. For small critters though, this thing might as well be a Barrett. Looks awesome, thanks for the video!
Get some slugs for that Iowa wind. Love my FX Maverick Sniper.
Been ogling a Notos for some time, that's ~$270. I own a Hatsan Flash in .25 (also ~$270), my preferred airgun caliber for pests as it hits harder and penetrates farther but we're talking about 40-80 FPE (depending on pellet weight and air-release adjustments), where just .22LR delivers >100 FPE at very low cost...
I have a couple of sig air guns and umex Tr 50 love em
I'd love to see you do a video on the AirForce Texan.

Hahaha frog boning season! HA! Cool to see an airgun on the channel. One of my favorite plinkers is a ruger airhawk.
About shooting bolt-actions as left eye dominant. i would say it is actually very nice and easy when shooting from bench or prone because can keep trigger hand in place and focus on target while right hand is purely for feeding a gun. While standing it becames bit more akward but not that much. Personally i prefer normal right side action just because it is more practical for others if i need to lend a gun and because most of shooting will be done from prone. So no wonder why Mrs. Outlaw was so fast to ring those plates.
Mrs Outlaw was showing you up big time!

Just think if The Girandoni Air Rifle A.K.A The Windbüchse ( "Wind Rifle" in German) that Lewis and Clark had taken with them on their expedition had taken off in popularity like Firearms did? Just imagine the air rifle innovation and technology we would have today but since the invention of smokeless gun powder All the great Inventors, Machinists & Engineers have had their creative minds focused on designing and engineering innovative new Firearms. I can't wait to see air rifles 10 years from now.

Look at the FX DRS Pro. Shooting slugs. You'd love that
You don’t really need the hearing protection with an airgun. For the most part they have internal moderators.

I thought the same thing that Capt Clark and Capt Lewis took an air rifle with them on the Corps of Discovery. South Africans hunt with them for pest control on monkeys and baboons.
Very Cool! Gotta wonder if they would consider making a left-handed version for all of us right-handed folk 😂
I’d be interested to see one that’s even smaller form factor like the Hatsan Jet as like a little backpack gun for small game when out in the bush
We don't take airguns seriously in the USA, but they do in the UK. I've been watching videos about these new technology airguns for a while. The guys who know these rifles are amazing shots. Also, we're accustomed to .177 and .22 caliber airguns, but there are larger calibers and more powerful airguns. The good rifles have a regulator, so the pressure is the same every single shot. The lead alloy pellets are very good quality. Bullets are available too (they call them slugs.) The pellet weight is on the container. So you have an adjustable known pressure, and a known pellet weight, so you get excellent shot consistently. I believe they refill the tanks at scuba places.
Lots of love and God bless❤😂
I have a .25 FX Wildcat long barrel with a VX5HD scope on it. It’s a laser to 200 meters with slugs. These things are not the “pellet” rifles people think of when they think of air guns.
Right on, glad y'all are trying air rifles. Be careful, you might get addicted. Try some slugs in rifles that accept them. Watch the JSB factory video show pellet manufacturing & Q-C. Thank you for the video. 👍

The action reminds me of the hammerli bolt action 22
Contrary to popular belief, pcp guns actually do have a firing pin. There's a spring piston located behind the fcg in place of a hammer. The trigger simply releases the piston sending it into a straight forward motion. The front tip of the firing pin acts like a seal to the plenum so when it's pushed, the compressed air is released into the chamber sending the projectile down the barrel. The air is actually traveling backwards before it gets to the barrel. The gun actually cycles by scavenging the force of the escaping gas which pulls the regulator valve open and recharges the plenum. I'd love to see you do a review on a 7.62 or one of the full auto Hatsan Blitzes. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Here in Denmark you are not allowed to do any plinking outside an official gun range, unless you are shooting a .177 airgun. So I have have spent a lot of money on FX and Weihrauch airgun 😅
how distant is that structer beyond the target area? ever shoot rifle caliber out there? Always enjoy the videos.

This is definitely an in town pest disposal system for sure. I can see this being issued to pest control units.
You should do 1.77 and 22 next with like hornet Maxxum type stuff because me and friends have taken out turkey raccoons rabbits with head shots using gold ammo, lead, light, heavy, ect and close range like 50 yards and less head shots kill
