I bought the Deadman 5 years ago. Tried it in several situations. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like it through a clean amp, like a Deluxe Reverb: sounds fizzy and shrill. It seems to prefer an already distorted amp. Sounds heavenly in my Vox, volume around 11oc, tone fully clockwise, gain at 7ish. It gets fuzzy fat at full volume, it gnarls like a distorsion around 7-6, and it cleans up very well from 3 to 1. Great machine!

Is the Dead Man fuzz a reference to the Dead Man soundtrack? It definitely sounds similar at times to some of the fuzzed out tones Neil Young got on it.

@@philby8 Well they definitely nailed it then. Super surprised I had never heard of this pedal before, that's probably my all time favorite soundtrack....and now I need one of these.
