Placement, colleges depend. Preparing for GATE, helps you to clear other exams like the TNPSC Combined Engineering Service Exam and SSC JE Exam, and Public sector, some private sector recruiting based on the GATE score.

TCE and CIT Coimbatore are the same-level institutes. You may select based on your location preference. Next to CIT CBE and TCE Madurai, you can consider GCT and then PSG ITech.
