While i understand and agree with many of the players asking for features. I can't help but sympathize more with Toady when he says something along the lines of : "Yeah i'd like to add that feature at some point after i'm done with this" ... for the 52nd time in a row

DF players are used to thinking in the long term at this point. I think when most players ask about features they're more of asking "do you think you might add this in the next year or 5?"

He felt satisfied dwelling upon commenting to the algorithm gods.

Damn, the production value increase is staggering! I don't believe the editor can have any other name than Urist...

He could be calcium crypt so youd have a dwarf persona like kruggsmash

Usually I just listen to these videos on the side but with the new visuals I catch my self looking at the screen more often than not while I work. Nice new visuals!

The first question made me realize that there are going to be some really funny bugs with M&M; I'm just waiting for someone to come into town and use a spell to do something simple and harmless, like make yourself faster or something idk, then it turns out that that's illegal and now everyone's attacking you lmao

I like the charm of this presentation. Also, there was a mention of a dutchess being kicked from roles. I could have swore in one of my fortresses I had a king as the militia commander like a warrior king.

The visuals looked nice, but I normally only listen to these Future of the Fortress videos (went back after watching when you mentioned the new visuals).

I like the new format! My one suggestion if it is not too much work is to use a generic question mark "avatar" for the questions. I love the little Toady One avatar you made!

The new look is great, props to the artist (and you as well Blind). Much easier to stay engaged during the video. A more historically nerdy suggestion (I'm an archaeologist) for the scribe would be something related to 'Marcus Tullius Tiro'. He was Cicero's scribe who is believed to have developed a shorthand system to record Cicero's speaches. Maybe with a dwarfier version of the name :) Love the videos, even if work getting busy has stopped me catching the streams.

LOVE the new presentation!

I really love this new style! It's cute and pretty visually appealing! For the name of the editor, well, we have the classic Urist! But this is too common isn't? Maybe Komar Tathur? Or maybe Noth Mishthem? Or... Nekut Zogmåm? Or or! Algo Irid the Scripture Keeper!

I used to play adventure mode off and on in the ascii version and the after the steam release magic is going to be my first big wait. I know its probably off in the future but a magic system in df gets me so excited.

Life changes, the only constant is Tarn slaving away making dwarf fortress…

For your editor friend I suggest the name Nimak. One because I like the sound of it and two because it is Dwarven for Quill which is quite fitting

How did Eric capture and breed animal people into his forts?

This all cool and exciting( adventure mode being released for the second time in my life =) ) But what about military screen? Alerts? Ability to disable this annoying tutorial popups? QoL, basically, one can speak of may things I understand, many new players, etc., but... sometimes i just play good old pre-steam release as it is more complete in ability to control fortress-related features

You should name the dwarf "Paige" :D I have a question about you reading. It seems like sometimes you put different emphasis on random words and I'm wondering why that's happening? Do you cut between different clips of you reading or something? Or is the text far away from the screen you're reading off of so you don't know when sentences end? This isn't a critique I'm just interested. I love your content!
