🏴 Future of English Stadiums: 17 Concepts for 2023
Спорт
Today we will take you to the place where football is perhaps played the most, where the community lives every game, and finally - where the largest sums of money are at stake. England, which will be the subject of this video, is not just the Premier League. This is proven, for example, by the numerous stadiums that have graced clubs in the Islands for years. So get to know the arenas that are being built there, or are being planned.
We'll give you a brief overview of the venues, starting with the smallest, which fans in England glance at especially often. Will they see the results of works at these stadiums in the near future? Among them are big brands such as Anfield, Etihad Stadium, and Everton Stadium. So let's fasten our seatbelts and get started!
Which of the listed venues would you like to see renovated or built?

Scunthorpe definitely won't be rebuilding Glanford Park. They've bought land to relocate
Unfortunately due to terrible owners, Southend United may no longer exist in the near future.

This video needs editing because a lot of the club’s you’ve mentioned have been scrapped or unrealistic at this present moment for various reasons. The only ones that are certain are definitely Aston Villa and Man City and Everton’s new stadium is currently in working progress whilst Liverpool’s is nearly complete. Nottingham Forest will most likely go ahead with redeveloping the City Ground now they’ve survived, but delaying it until next year, as they want to establish themselves beforehand.
"Watching the Blue's transfer moves, expansion of the substitutes' bench might be the case".... How dare youu say such a true thing hahaha!

@@SKBSKBSKBSKBSK That's a bit deep for this time of day, old fruit. I suppose I was looking at planned stadia, the same as other browsers on this site. I supposed I'd hoped to see planned rugby and cricket grounds. Anything except more oikball, really.
Interesting with Odsal Stadium (not far from me) and putting a roof on it. As Stock Car racing has been reintroduced there in 2022 after nearly 30 years, I don't see that the roof option will be finalised. Good concept though.

Odsal won't happen now as it was hoping for levelling up funding which it won't now receive

They all look so lush 🔥
I cant be the only one who thinks the proposal for the new Stamford Bridge looks seriously ugly. Like a giant blob just dropped onto the city and then turned into brick, the stadium from the outside also looks disproportionally massive relative to the rather average capacity

As do Leicester and Forest Green, and Southend
Apparently Leicester is no longer in the east midlands.

i like how youve put this into a concept list, as over half of these are unlikely to ever make it off paper: -Cant see leicester expanding any time soon. -Chelseas too busy blowing all their cash on teenagers. -Wolves finances could hardly support a new toilet. -Nottingham could probably do it but why? the stadiums already big and modern enough why not put that money elseware? -Southend. lol. A mid table national league side does not need a 17 000 stadium. money would be better spent on infrastructure, talent and youth development. -Luton genuinely do need a new stadium but the where and hows are far from set in stone, cool design tho. -Bradford Bulls: Odsal already has a 26k capacity, so this would be purely a remodel, probably to collaborate with more events than anything. nice idea but again, im unsure where a second division rugby league side that is already struggling its finances would get that kind of money. -Fulhams is actually really nice and they could afford it. ive always loved how craven cottage has this wierd mash of old and new without looking rusty or tacky. -Millwall, again, where is this money coming from? also those glass fascades would be constantly getting bricks thrown at them. -Crystal Palace, Definately a club that has the right size of a stadium, but it just hasnt aged particularly well. the new fascade would do alot to improve this. -Sheffield Uniteds Bramall lane is again i feel, the right size of stadium for the blades, i feel that adding another 10k of seating is unneccessary, but again, the modernisation and addition of more services would be good. -Aston villa are yet to start any actual work, to my knowlege they resubmitted their designs to the council, wanting to add more stores etc. but it seems like they are still going ahead with it. -Everton are....in trouble. theyve already begun work on their new stadium despite on field issues. will be interesting to see what happens but if they get relegated i imagine they will put sections of construction on hold or even permantly scale back the stadium. -Liverpool have a great strategy of developing Anfield bit by bit, insted of one massive refit, which is probably helpful seeing as ownership rumors are rife. -Man City obviously have bottomless pits of money but are currently under heavy scrutiny by FFP. doubt it will come to anything but major stadium revamps will only serve to raise more eyebrows.
Southend isn’t even going to be a club so I doubt they can build a new stadium

I truly hope that Southend survive, but this may be a blessing in disguise. Roots Hall is a lovely ground, one if my favourite, and it would be a tragedy to see it demolished.
@OneEpicEric
Жыл бұрын
All by design. Roots hall will become a housing estate to house immigrants.
St James park?
Southend's is a bit odd. Who would want to have an apartment in a football stadium?! As a Bradfordian, I should point out that pipe dreams for the redevelopment of Odsal have been going on for nearly three decades now, so i'm not holding my breath...
Chelsea really said Santiago Lampard

Forest at 38k becoming the largest won't be correct tho. As leicester are going to 40k as early as 2025

The expansion of Leicester may not happen now due to relegation
Anfield insiders say the next stand to be expanded will be the Sir Kenny Daglish stand with an extra 8,000 taking Anfield to 70,000. This would only happen if transport in the area was improved
@badabing8884

Skerries Road and Wylva Road need to be demolished and rebuilt as they are currently bus routes to the north of the city. Skerries Road residents association are knowing of that, hence why the club aren't ready to negotiate, finally Liverpool City Council are in special measures so almost certainly it be called in by the government
@bionicgeekgrrl
Жыл бұрын
If they redesigned the sir Kenny stand, capacity could actually go down slightly. The current expansion was possible as the housing was derelict. The housing behind the sir Kenny stand is very much not derelict and is occupied, so unless they can get agreement for demolition (unlikely), future expansion is probably unlikely beyond the new capacity.
@rhowell1978

@@bionicgeekgrrl I’ve wondered if that’s why they’ve now opened up the area behind the SKD stand, maybe change a few minds about negotiating and selling up?
@jameshope398

Can't see that happening somehow they would need to demolish the houses in Skerries Road and I don't think the local residents would be all that in favour of it and neither would Liverpool City Council
The Chelsea expansion/redesign was cancelled a long time ago
Scunthorpe are about to go down to the National League North and face complete ruin, so I doubt they're building a new stadium anytime soon.

There isn't any. At least, nothing official. It's been paper talk for years that Old Trafford will be demolished and rebuilt but the cost would be into the billions and with United's current owners...that's not good business sense. I'm not a United fan, but Old Trafford is arguably one of the worst stadiums in the PL in my opinion, big...but old, tired and poor facilities.

Chelsea is big club 60.000 it's small for Chelsea
@bionicgeekgrrl

There's very little space is their problem unless they were to relocate somewhere less built up, but that would kill their atmosphere. 60000 would still put amongst the biggest in the country though behind old Trafford, Wembley and Annfield (when the expansion is complete) amongst others.
Valley Parade de Bradford, tiene mucho potencial.
Chelsea 👍👍👍👍👍
Chelsea's new stadium needs to be around 70.000 and get out of this 60.000. Because most want a bigger stadium who have a 60.000. Get it right frist time.
