I've never previously driven a Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M, despite the F430 Spider being one of the first supercars I ever test drove over 10 years ago. It did not disappoint! how can somebody dislike the looks of the 430? for me it is one of the best looking cars ever.

It wasn't necessarily the F40 or F50 that drew me to Ferrari. For me it was the likes of the 430 Spider and 360 I was dreaming about. The steering wheel with the Manettino switch... how iconic. Just brings me back to my teens.

I own a 2007 black F430 Coupe with yellow trims an calipers. I bought it 3 years ago and drive it once a month. I enjoy every moment of it. Mine is not a Scuderia but has lots of carbon all over and Fabspeed headers which gives it a little more horsepower. F430’s being the last analog Ferraris will have a solid future as an investment. The F430 has the classic body contours as well as a modern look. The last of Mohicans. Great review Tim.

tell me about the fab speed headers. the car I am buying has a set in the truck that was installed but turned on a check engine light so owner had them removed. is it worth putting them back on and how to solve this problem? Do i have to replace anything else with this addition? thankyou!

Awesome video Tim, the 430 Scuderia is one of my favorite cars. I always thought that the updated front end "fixed" what I didn't like about the standard F430.

Shmee- I too bought a V8 Vantage just over 11 years ago and was cross shopping an F430. I love the Vantage and have since added the 430 Scuderia to compliment it.

I drove the 16M and the scud many times...I've recommended this car to many. It was the first car I think to have active damping. You could place it in race mode and adjust the damping on the suspension. It's comfortable to be in. The sound is amazing and it's tuned a bit different than the 430.

Honestly I like the classic design of the inside and outside and the whole drive makes it perfect. Also a dream car for me, I grew up on these early 2000 cars.

I went in an F430 Scud a few years ago for my 16th, exact same spec. Gotta say you can’t hear yourself speak, it’s violent and the gear shifts kick you in the back... showed me how cars can make u feel

I was a 7 when the 430 Scuderia came out, on my way to the city when I passed by a Ferrari dealer, with 2 other cars beside it, what I now recognise as the 599 Fiorano and the 612 Scaglietti, yeah that memory and wow factor has been engrained in my young mind and what i envisioned as the "perfect stable" now, with a Red 599 Fiorano, a Blue 612 Scaglietti and a yellow 430 Spider.

Would love to see one of these or a 458 Speciale Aperta

I don’t know why you were lifting on upshifts. Lay into it man, it’s built for it. The sound of the 360 is heavenly and the 430 is even better. I never drove a 16m but I did track a Scuderia and had a 360 for a couple years.

Agree, not necessary to lift with hard driving. Only in some traffic situations it’s nice to lift with upshifts.

Beautiful Machine right there! Car will never go out style, Ferrari did a really good job on that body/model.

Pull the (vacuum)hoses on the exhaust valves and the sound is there at every rpm. Best stock sounding Ferrari in the family. Love it already for 9 years/80.000km's so did my best enjoying it.

Imo the 360 Stradale sounds better....looks worse than the 430 tho.

Good video. By lifting off you were missing out on the full SF2 shifts, which is why most of the was changing in one of the slower modes. It takes a few miles to understand the system and how it reacts at varying throttle inputs, but it's very rewarding - something that I prefer over a multi-clutch 'box.

What a beautiful car! I have a classic DB9. I'm considering a 430 or a Lambo. So nice to see people appreciate these cars. IMHO they are better looking than modern cars.

The Scuderia 16m Spider has always been my DREAM car!! In Rosso Corsa with the contrasting Nero interior, pure perfection... absolutely everything about that car is phenomenal and I’d rather have the Scuderia 16m Spider over ANY modern equivalent

430 and the Scuderia was ahead of its time. It aged so well, most people would think it’s 2015 or higher. Absolutely hate the spec on this one but still one of my dream cars.

That scudria is very nice but I hope they make a hardcore lighter version f8 and it's slower than the 458 speciale and 488 pista and I love the ferrari v8 sounds and the lamborghini v10 sounds

That F430 Spider 16M is a cool car

Of all the Ferrari's built, the F430 Scuderia is by far and away my favourite.

This car just won't die. Imagine putting some current round LED taillights on it, and some LED DRLs for the headlights. It would look brand new.
