I have no idea what you've smoked when mixing this shit but I can vividly remember the notification back on 30th of May 2016 and then how I felt listening to this mix. Still incredible in 2022. So sad we don't have good music and mixing like this anymore.

I think "Future" is used like the word "Modern" with respect to architecture: Modern Architecture was a distinct architectural style that arose in the early 20th century, while Future House is a distinctly new house music style that arose in the 2010's. "Future" isn't meant to be a predictive term.

It's still kind of weird when you think about it. Modern house will stop being modern, Future house will become house of the past. And how will we name the newer upcoming subgenres with increasingly futuristic sounds? Post Future House? And after that? Modern Post Future House? Post Modern Post Future House? Subsequent Post Modern Post Future House? 2nd Wave Subsequent Post Modern Post Future? Supra Chronological Transcendental Infinite Singularity House? Jokes aside, It makes more sense to name genres after their distinctive auditory characteristics.
