Fusion Friday - Gear Ratios

Ғылым және технология

In this video, I show how to easily figure out how to set up gear ratios for your motion links. Instead of calculating the rotational angle or using trial-and-error, watch how you can use the gears number of teeth to set the rotation angle.

I remember that from the pencil sharpener project. It's simpler to set the correct ratio with the number of teeth instead of degrees. Of course if no one mentioned it, we'd all be using degrees until forever.

I still cannot figure out why you have such low subscription numbers. Best regards.

I probably should "promote" more, but I'd rather create videos than "market" them. :) But, share my channel with your friends, co-workers, etc. That will help drive the numbers up. Thanks for caring!

And how do I do that kind of joint?

@eedesign878- Those are "As-Built Joints". Basically, if the parts are already "put together", you create an as-built joint. You would click the shaft component, then the wall component, then select the hole in the wall that the shaft rotates in. You would select "rotational" as the joint type.
