Released in 1978, Mixed by Fran James. Female disc jockey aka Franny DJ Dean, she produced a disco mixer using part of her name FrannyDJ Dean and adding R for Records = F (Franny) DJ D (Dean) Records.

I based my entire djing career on this record. It's why I started spinning. I still have the original release. This is when DJ's had to go to Sunshine Sound to press on heavy acetate. If you are the original artist; you are a pioneer in our industry and deserve props for one of the most influential "plates" that started the genre before Bits & Pieces or Hollywood was even recorded!

I had the same thing happen to me. I was just perusing KZread and listening to old mixes, when I discovered someone had pressed my mix to vinyl without my knowledge, and took credit (mostly Electro 1984). No lawyer would touch it because none of it was music to begin with. I got a hold of your record at a small record store in Dale City Virginia - but not until 1980. I overheard a guy talking to the clerk about what was "hot" - snuck over and just blindly grabbed two records from the bin they were referring to. I got yours and Funky Mix by Mach. I referred to them as "medley's" back then - he he. Are you still mixing?

EroticRhythm : I remember this came from the Donna Summer album "once Upon a Time" the song is 'Faster and Faster' That whole album was pure fire. "Working the Midnight Shift" was another great song from that album that was sampled a lot.
