The focus of this video is not on the function of the headset stand. To create a functional headset stand, just a few simple extrudes will suffice. This video is really more about creating the unique form that we see here. So have fun with trying this out and post your ideas in the comments!

Dang, I get by in F360 most of the time, but I wish I could use F360 1/10th as well as you do.

Could you create the base obilisque shape and top in sepearate operations like an hour glass? Then combine them to keep the trapezoid and variable taper?

What is wrong with the curved side faces from the trapezoid loft? Couldn't the original have curved faces also?

This is a good point, one that I did not consider. I went back to perform the first method on the loft in the second method. The end result actually looks pretty good, although the bevelled faces have a slight curvature. The slight curvature really shouldn't matter.

I still haven't fully understood replace face but would you be able to do that here for the base with the first method?
