Huh bowser has shell armor or sum on the back of his utilt??? I was unaware of this Webb legit jus ftilted thru him and the utilt still went thru?? Someone explain and how many of his other tilts have armor like this?

Bowser can edgeguard pretty well, but Sheik is super slippery offstage. She can reversal you easily if you mess up offstage.

because edgeguarding sheik is hard, she has a ton of mixups and it would be very risky for bowser, since giving up stage control in this matchup can be the last thing you do (just look at webb's edgeguarding sequences for reference), and if sheik uses up B from above the ledge it has full intangibility, which means it cannot be 2 framed (this applies to every teleport recovery), and webb used it to his advantage very expertly

You just can't edgeguard Sheik when she has any resource. She can reversal really easily, or you can just die to up-b. Also, webb knows that if you recover diagonally above ledge, you can't get 2framed.

WebbJP played very clean and consistent, and that won the day. Bowser isn't as fast or consistent as Sheik, so he shouldn't try to beat Sheik on that level. Instead, Bowser excels at reads and punishes. Leon needed several things here: 1. More mixups: Leon relied on his bread-and-butters too much here, and it made him predictable. He needed to mix things up to set up the next point: 2. Go for more reads: to win against Sheik, Bowser needs to take advantage of his power for some early kills, but that has to come off good reads. 3. Slow down in disadvantage: when WebJPP got to the end of a string, Leon would put out a panic get-off-me or landing option (e.g. up-b, dair, etc), but would whiff, then WebbJP would start up another string on the punish. Instead, Leon should have backed off and reset neutral, which would give him a better chance at an opening.

Yup. Bowser is heavy. Even multi jab don't work on bowser. Also f-tilt as well. If bowser use any movement.

Webb’s Shiek is so clean and exciting to watch

*webb played phenomenally, but everybody here acting like bowser isn’t 100% complete combo food especially for such a quick character. webb knew the matchup was terrible and absolutely took advantage of that poor Leon it hurt so much watching him fight the inevitable lmao*

Shiek is too fast. Thats why Bowser hold shield. Its difficult for sheik to get back on stage when Bowser hold his shield. Big shield can be annoying.

He needs to improve a lot he was mashing options like grab oos and upb cuz he was scared and didn’t know what else to resort to. Good looks on Webb tho bringing the character up on the tierlist

To be fair it might be because Sheik's up b is not 2 framable when done above the platform

Doing combos on bowser is expected. Why are ppl impressed

Every time I hear people like this call themselves "commentator", I cringe. The smash commentators be talking like, super casual. They just sound..... like some socially awkward people having a conversation
