I was searching for covers of this song and found this just posted a few days ago! I'm so glad that people are still performing this piece. ;)

Maria Scheider composed this piece with the words of the following simple journal entry of Nebraska poet and American Poet Laureate (2004-2006) Ted Kooser in mind: November 18, Cloudy, dark and windy. Walking by flashlight at six in the morning, my circle of light on the gravel swinging side by side, coyote, racoon, field mouse, sparrow, each watching from darkness this man with the moon on a leash. - Ted Kooser. Winter Morning Walks : 100 Postcards to Jim Harrison (2001). Mr Kooser, an insurance agent by trade, had been diagnosed with cancer and to maintain his health he began a practice of morning walks. He would occasionally write the simple entry on a postcard and send it to his friend--poet, novelist, and essayist Jim Harrison (Legends of the Fall) who, in turn, would reply with a piece of his own. Schneider's composition beautifully captures the serenity of that early morning walk as does the lovely arrangement here.

Uit het voorwoord van Tobias werd al duidelijk……dat tijdens een vroege ochtendwandeling waarbij de natuur naar de mensen kijkt 😳…...het een inspiratiebron was voor een gedicht van Ted Kooser. Dankzij deze poëzie creëert FUSE een gevoel van ruimte met hun weelderige arrangementen en vertolkt ze op fantastische wijze de muzikale interpretatie van het fragiele "Walking By Flashlight", een compositie van de Amerikaanse Maria Schneider, delicaat, sprankelend en met een melancholische melodie……heerlijk spannend en betoverend 🤩!!!
