Fury of the Storm Expert Drums 100% FC [World Record]

My ScoreHero post pretty much sums this up:
Wow, has this been an ordeal. After three wasted FCs because of a faulty kit (including my worst 100% overhit ever), this was looking to be TTFAF all over again and I decided to rent the same E-kit I had 4 years ago in hope of having a less frustrating grind, in addition to having a fair chance at going for 1sts again. It took me a good while to figure out why this kit was having issues too, but I found and fixed the problem a few weeks back and the grind was on again. Some days it clicked better than others, but having either a couple of 'chokes' past the blasts or not even FCing up to the blasts was equally draining and I felt less and less motivated to grind this song out, especially since I virtually FCed the song before. Today was a good day, though. I had two 'chokes' past the blasts in one hour and I got the FC not long after. This gives me the long-awaited GH:WoR Full Game FC and Full Game 1st place!

I wondered who "Beatstruck" was before I opened the video, nice to see more vids from you. Congrats on the Fc. I'm surprised I never got around to noticing that SP activation window and seeing if I could abuse it.

It's called an electronic drum kit. Look at Roland/Alesis/Yamaha brands. They have entry level kits you can also use for Guitar Hero/Rock Band

+Weirdocooper I'm playing the same notes in both runs ;). When you activate on drums, all notes within a small window are played automatically. I'm using this as a little trick to make activating during rolls a bit easier (2:53 is another example), so that I don't have to hit the cymbals and rush back to the red pad immediately. Similarly, at 2:03 I don't play the bass note that I'm activating on to make sure that I don't accidentally hit it a fraction before hitting the cymbals and don't get double points for it.

+Beatstruck oh okay, I always have trouble on the GH drum engine when activating, I always seem to overhit while trying to activate. I'm not too familiar with the engine since I'm mostly on RB.

Haha yup, had to resort to drastic measures since I wasn't gonna get anywhere near the FC with just one foot. Very hard to get down at first, but patience is the magic word here

Well, yeah. Everyone else did it with one pedal, and there are at least 8 FCs of this song on Expert that I know of. I'm easily the worst at maintaining fast bass notes with one foot if we're talking people who can FC songs like this. The FC was far out of my reach for years, until I got the crazy idea to actually practice the intro blasts with two feet. I've never heard of anyone else trying that on this song or songs with a similar pattern (like Packet Flier on Rock Band), so I'm quite proud that I managed to pull it off in the end - in making the song a little harder this way, I made it FCable for me :3

When activating Star Power, any missed notes during a short window are not actually counted as misses. There's no reason to even try to play those notes, as they are counted either way and even get the full x8 SP score :)

Life got in the way unfortunately (living in a noisy apartment doesn't help either), but I've always intended to come back to this at some point if I get the opportunity again. Would love to finish the FSFC some day!
