Fury of Achilles | Adventure | Full Movie in English

Fury of Achilles | Adventure | Full Movie in English
Director: Marino Girolami
Writer: Gino De Santis, Homer
Stars: Gordon Mitchel, Jacques Bergerac, Cristina Gaioni
(1962)
Fury Of Achilles takes the story of Achilles and highlights it from Homer's Iliad as opposed to telling the whole story of the Trojan War. It's a cut above the usual peplum pictures mainly because of the source.

This Achilles is much cooler than Brad Pit. TROY movie is technologically smarter than this movie. But the story is more accurate than TROY.

No book or play will ever make Achilles the sort of hero anyone would want to follow...Hektor on the other hand...

In the beginning,, only calvary and chariots ...no siege machines and yet they managed to take a fortified fortress. Maybe somebody went on a cigarette break and left the gate open.

I was raised on these movies, Hercules, Samson, Roman and Greeks history. I think this movie was made before 1965. And the lead guy is a muscle man.

This is the best movie about the Trojan war I have ever seen. They should do a remake of this movie with the same script. It makes sense.

WOW that's a new trick for me, cavalry attacking the enemy, ride up to them climb off their horse and begin to fight instead of from horseback, never thought of that. Suppose the horses were only to save the soldiers from wasting energy, running at the enemy. I suppose they were just mounted infantry and not actual cavalry, would explain why they attacked a walled city, must have rode up to the walls and climb up on the horse's back, to get over the walls.,(who needs scaling ladders and siege towers). And as for catapults or trebuchets(probably a bit early for these), I know a wooden horse or two.
