FINALLY, a maker who doesn't condone using whip stitches when sewing up faux fur. Seriously, I see it all the time and can say from experience that you should avoid that loose, flimsy, stitch at all costs.

I really don't understand any application for a whip stitch... it can easily be replaced with a ladder stitch or blanket stitch which are both better in their own ways. If you're sewing from the inside/backing, use a blanket stitch, it's strong and neat. If you're sewing from the outside, use a ladder stitch, it's invisible. Why is the whip stitch so common??? Just because it's so simple?

I can't count the times I've done that. 😅 I'm still working on my first fursuit head but I'm nearly done. I'll be so happy to finish it after nearly a year of working on it off and on. I'm taking a break to do more research on things I haven't done yet.
