So much to love about this vlog. The pride and delight on your faces as you turn your house into a home is wonderful to see. I really like that you buy your things from shops that everybody knows and uses - it makes you both even more relatable. As far as the chocolate debate is concerned, I’m team Shawn - definitely not in the fridge unless it’s a 30 degree heatwave! Love these home vlogs. Thanks for sharing.

When painting, do the edge/cutting in first. That way you roll over the wall and it looks smoother than a brush.

I'm definitely team room temperature chocolate than fridge chocolate, but the house is really starting to come together! I can't wait to see how the world map turns out I bet it will look incredible with all your memories on it!

Top of the stairs, change the light fixture to a longer hanging group of pendants / lightbulbs!

You guys did a great job! So interesting seeing some of the differences between British and American homes watching this. This was fun to follow!

Love the mirror and dining table

Nice blog, deffo reminds me of moving into my first place. Make sure the curtains are locked behind the wall supports to stop them getting pulled in and make sure they are facing in at the edges so sunlight doesn't bleed into the room, useful for when you have hangovers. I love the plain look, we have white walls everywhere and use accessories to colour ours rooms.

Your home is looking amazing! I love your choice of colours, and your adding touches like the cushions, lamp etc really make it homely. Shawn, you’re doing a great job on the decorating! Nothing wrong with doing it yourself! I moved into my house last year and I painted every single room myself and part wallpapered 2 rooms. I’ve since glossed aswell. Painting and decorating is all part of making the house YOUR home. It’s something to be proud of. Your dining table/chairs look stunning, loving the little Mickey touches! I have the dinner service to match your placemats🙂 No bread bin needed, you don’t have enough work top space. I just keep mine in the cupboard. Chocolate….in the fridge? YES Charlotte! It all tastes so much better out of the fridge, especially Buttons! Love your laundry pods in the glass jars! If you need some labels making for them (like the fridge ones) give me a shout! I’d definitely take the Epcot ball away….it definitely belongs in MY kitchen 😂 Cracking job guys! LOVING The Sanbrooke Adventures x

Top tip for curtains is to put one ring of the curtain on the other side of the bracket (i.e. next to the end of the pole) for each curtain 😊 I'm definitely team room temperature for the chocolate and I store bread items on top of my microwave 😛 love the colour palate!

It's coming together really well Love a bit of painting. A skelly arm Shawn - really ? ha ha. I use a cheap wooden spoon the handle for small pots and the spoon part for bigger tins. Love the lamp shades. I see Charlotte has nabbed the pouffe, well done lass😂 the colour scheme is very nice. Yes I'm with Charlotte, chocs in the fridge. You don't need a bread bin either so I'm with Shawn on that one lol. You did a fab job with putting stuff together both of you and you've done such a lot in a short space of time. I do like stuff from the Range, the pink picture is really nice. Hull is great, they do lots of tv filming there in the old cobbled streets part. Didn't have time to go to the Aquarium there so looking forward to that but we did go round Hull Minster x

Shawn and Charlotte, I can't wait to see the Fridge magnets!!!!! The greys color scheme looks elegant and when you get some colorful pieces, they will be set off by the neutral look....well done! A few wall hangings will dampen the echo effect. You might get colorful pillows and a spread or a Duvet for the bedroom. I did a lot of decorating and color work when I was a Picture Framer and art supplier so I agree with Matt EDwards...see below? Brilliant work! Cheers, Rik Spector

Wow your new home is really coming on leaps and bounds starting to look really homely now, I’m so glad that you both are enjoying yourselves with your DIY projects lol 😆 furniture looks nice as for installations they appear to be easy to assemble in the instructions manuals as some can be very challenging going by Shawn’s expressions with his new dining table skills bless you. but worth the time patience every effort in the end. I have to agree with Charlotte chocolate does taste better from the fridge but not on cold freezing days also the bread tastes fresher from the freezer straight in to the toaster the microwave defrosts and cooks it in 60secs on 800w depends what Wattage your microwave is. Charlotte will like this one I’ve made some extremely delicious hot soft and moist chocolatey mug cakes in the microwave yum 😋

Love the Staircase light shade. Like you say, much you could do on the walls up the staircase etc. Yes, blending in lighter colours like pink or similar goes perfectly with your current colour scheming. Great effort, looking sharp (can't say the word Sic !!! that totally baffles me ).
